I still remember a dream I had months before the game was released, after waiting for it for over a year. Since all those years ago, I'm sure I've had many a dream about the game.

Other than that, I've managed well to keep FFXI away from my real life so that it has never affected it.

- In Horde mode for Gears of War 3, I refer to the "cash" as "gil".

When you actually debate whether or not you can quit the game. And then you come to the conclusion, the only way you could quit the game is if you got rid of your PS2. After more consideration, you decide that you can't throw away a good piece of equipment, but... If it broke somehow... You then debate taking it out into the street to smash it, but, then you get a PT invite...

- When I am in casual conversation and I use the term 'aggro' and/or 'mob' ... then everyone I am talking to stares blankly at me.

- When I use:

- When I'm playing a game other than FFxi and I try to auto-run by pressing my left bumper button (happens all the time)

- When I'm talking all cute with my cat and I slip into Taru'isms...

- When you catch yourself talking to someone about the game and someone near you asks you what language you're speaking...
example:

Ha, kinda funny you mention that. I once had a brief convo about the game with my wife (true story!!).

Wife: “I don't get why you like that game…what are you even doing?”
Rom: “I’m doing Dynamis-Beauc. Fighting Yads for T. Shells for my stage 4 guttler. It’s the relic axe for my Bst.”
Wife: **blank confused stare**
Rom: “**sigh**…I just slay dragons…”

- When you keep looking to the lower left corner of the windshield while driving to check the compass.

- When you think gil instead of <insert local currency here>

- When you are waaay more familiar with the layout of the entire Vana than that of your own neighborhood.

- When you can't even imagine people you meet in the game as anything but their chars even though you've already seen their "RL" pics many times.

- When you use game terms for things in RL and people think you were abducted by aliens.

- When you choose getting done a mission with Prishe over a date with a pretty girl in the real. <_<;

- When you hum the chocobo theme while driving.

- When you use emotes from the game in the real.

- Etc. etc. etc.
