n00b, "POL has stopped working" PLEASE HELP! :(
Hello all in Vana diel land!
My name is Amanda (irl) Renesme (IG). I've been playing collectively for about 4 years now, but just recently really got back into playing.
I'm currently running a 24MNK/10WAR (yeah I need to lvl sub, i know, i know!
)
I've been trying to lvl as much as my real-life job will allow, but it seems like every time I try to play hard core (an hour+), there's a problem with my game...
I've noticed that what usually happens is I'll be in the middle of something, usually/lately it's been a fight, and I'll notice that the sound sort of screws up. It should be playing the monk's "combo" sounds or something like that, but it's like the sound is confused; I'll only hear the battle music, wind (as I'm fighting in Buburimu), maybe a few footsteps here or there, and that's about it. Shortly thereafter, the game freezes and closes on it's own with a popup that states "PlayOnline has stopped working".
It's driving me crazy, and not to mention worrying me because if I'm ptying with someone, I don't want this to happen and me leave a player stranded...
I've seen similar problems to this elsewhere through google, but I was wondering if anyone on here would be so kind as to help me figure out what's going on...
I'm running Windows Vista and from what I can tell, have the correct POL version is downloaded. Though there may be some settings I'm missing here or there, so if anyone would be willing to help me I'd truly appreciate it!!!
