Vana'diel Live Feed Mystery Server (12-21-11)

Okay, I don't know if there is a thread for this but there is a LIVE FEED of a mystery server. I would like to know if anyone is on that server. It currently is broadcasting in Ru Lude Garden where Maat is, all I see is a Taru standing there for right now. If anyone knows that'd be so helpful.

My assumption (and that's really all it is) is that this is live feed from the test server. They seem to have filtered out the character names so there's not much of a way to be sure.

I've been watching this feed for about 15 minutes now and I've seen the same taru standing there while a few mithra, a tarutaru and what looked like a female hume run around in the background. Some were coming from the palace and others from the house to the right (for some reason). It's definately not a loop... although if it is, it's a lengthy one.

I have never personally been on the test server, so I can't attest to the population, but I would assume that they keep it strictly limited. Also, because they offer you the option to basically gear yourself to the gills with anything you want, it would make sense that nobody is in this particular area really. Who would be? If I didn't need to break my limit or start/cash in ToM trials, I don't think I'd ever come back here.

I'm curious to tune in from time to time tonight to see if the vantage point changes. This should be interesting... OR.... painfully dull. Time will tell.

Yeah, I've never seen this until now. I was like "Holy Hell." I'm on Sylph, I ran my ass to Jueno to see if it was our server. It's not. I transferred from Phoenix. I think earlier someone said there was a Kirin fight or something. I really want some internet fame, I want to be that one dancing Elvaan that entertains the world. I mean I've seen a DRK that ran by and I've seen a fully geared BLU Galka. So I am not sure if it's a test server. Not much mention of this was made to me until my buddy on Xbox Live told me about since he was interested in the game. It's on the main Playonline Website and I checked Japan's site, both videos are up there. It'd be nice to get some of this in the limelight.

Update: The area was suddenly flooded with a number of players. I'm starting to think that it's not the test server after-all. I've just seen a Galka PUP, a TaruTaru SMN, an Elvaan MNK and a Hume NIN running around near Maat in an assortment of gear. There was even a character in full pink gear which is severely gimp compared to the other choice one would have on the test server.

Maybe it's just feed from a ridiculously low population server. Arent a few of them only hanging on by a thread at this point? I've heard reports from a few saying that there are normally only 500 people online at a time.

So no clue as to what server? I made a mule on Asura, so I am checking if anyone is there and can move around for me on the camera. Not sure if it's accurate or not.

If it's up on POL (and I can't currently check, so I'm taking your word on it) it might just be rotating through servers. Who knows...

I'll definately be logging myself on tonight and running to wherever it's broadcasting to see if it's Valefor. If so, I'll capture a SS of myself doing something silly and post here as proof. I'll be the Tarutaru NIN with the baby chocobo on his head.

I hope it switches servers. I'd love to see myself doing /dance4 with a group of people. Hopefully more news will break out, I hope we get more replies from players on different servers. I'm currently sitting in Ru Lude right now near Maat, nothing so far on my server.

It might be mildly sad, but this spiced up what was shaping up to be a boooooooring couple of hours here at work for me.

I'm jumping onto skype to ask a few friends from various servers to swing by Maat for me to see if we can't determine the server.

Awesome. Do you need my Skype? I'll join in with you in this campaign to unveil this server. I currently see a Fully Geared NIN with RF on I do believe. There is also a Taru BLM. What do you got?

One of the members of my LS has told me that there's a Moogle placed right near where the camera is on all servers. Talking to it gives you dialog along the lines of:

"Please do not take advantage of game exploits, kupo!"
and
"Don't worry, a fix is coming soon"

I've also been watching a few shouts from various servers on the FFXIAH.com's live shout feed in P. Jeuno

The general theory seems to be that it's some kind of RMT activity (I don't personally believe that) being used to exploit some kind of a loophole in the most recent update. I can't even remember the last time I saw an RMT or even so much as a shout from one. My assumption is that it's some kind of a hack or a workaround being used/exploited by people. I would anticipate emergency maintenance to be happening fairly shortly to rectify it.

I'm curious to see if it amounts to anything.

Still no word from my spies on Odin, Bahamut or Lakshmi. Stay tuned.

Okay. It's not any of those and it's not on Phoenix. We've just confirmed this, I had a friend on Skype run over to Maat. Not that server. What does that leave left?
