  • Linkshell Advice?

I've been without a Linkshell for at least the past 15 months now.

Anybody have any advice on finding a group of people to do stuff with, for the future's sake? I'm sitting on 100-odd Beastman Seals, and I would much prefer using them with a reliable group of people. I would like to at least have that scroll of Phalanx sometime soon . . .

Shout in Port Jeuno for a linkshell. If you don't like them, try it again until you find a group you like being around.

Your best bet is moving to whatever server Murphie is on right now.

He's done Jellies UO like 1000 times already and we've got scrolls many times so it must be his galka power.

If he is still playing that is.

Other than that, yeah, like Squiggs said. Flip a coin.

That server would in theory be Lakshmi, but neither he nor I are playing now, and a lot of that is due to our linkshell turning into a ghost town after summer ended. On the subject of finding a linkshell, I have no advice. I was without one for a long time until I randomly ran into another DiV poster (tdh) who hooked me up with my current shell which had served me well for years until recently. It was total luck. I suppose see if someone else here posts that they're in a functional shell and hop servers to join them if you can.

If you are looking to jump servers, you are more than welcome on Cerberus. We try to run RJ every once in awhile and split the drops amongst the people there (if someone needs, they get; after that its profit).

Jumping servers isn't completely out of the question at this point, to be honest, but I'd obviously prefer to avoid to if possible.

I know that at least Cotners is on Carbuncle; hopefully I could catch him some time?

ADD: Logged in just after I posted this; turns out that he was online at the time, and he got me a pearl. Yay! ^_^

Find a good linkshell is difficult and I've never figured out how to do it. I've stumbled into a few mostly by accident or a stroke of good luck, but I've no idea how to actively find one and it's a tad disheartening. At the moment I've got a solid event shell, but I'm forever in need of a good social shell.

I found a few good linkshells on the Alexander server, and two formed into one linkshell, and then it changed into another one with a few different members after I left that. Then I joined a linkshell called RiseOfTheBastet. I don't know if the leader still plays or not. I do kinda miss them all, but I can no longer play FFXI due to issues, and drama IRL.

The linkshell had many helpful members, and where willing to do low level events such as the outpost fights, and willing to try new stuff. I helped quite a few, and they helped me as well quite a bit.
