I'm just coming back after a few years away and never did get my Carby Mitts, as it took a big party back in the day and I never got enough LS members around at the same time. Now that people are twenty levels higher, does it still take a party, or can one max level person wander in and stomp him in thirty seconds?

We just did it the other night. We had a full party, but I probably could have done it on my own. I would say two people max could do it.

Thanks for the confirmation! If I only need to find a couple of people it should be a lot more doable than it had been. Of course, the server population is also much smaller than it had been, so maybe not that easy, but easier than if I needed to find five or six people.

I trio’d way back when with 75 Bst, 75 Bst & ~30 Smn. More like a duo but smn did toss out a couple cures. The only hic-up we had was getting past the door ><

It’s got to be an easy solo by now. Just try and use some from of shell for its searing light. If no mage with you I’m sure there’s a FoV/GoV book somewhere on the way.

The door is easy. Don't bother trying to get a key for it. The trick is standing right up against the center of it and casting cure on yourself. The pots on the other side roam close enough to the door to aggro to magic. If you mash [tab] enough, you should be able to lock onto one to know when its close enough to cast. Thats the way I always get through. The only problem with that is avoiding links once you're inside... especially if your tonberry hate is kinda high.

Thanks for the tip, Yygdrasil. I'd been sweating a bit about the door, wondering whether they'd fixed it to need the key. Good to hear that there's still a reliable way around it!
