Checking on the config In-game, trying to set it to see if I can see further (I saw a youtube video with a guy having enormous visual range, and mine isn't nearly as high, and when I go into the config, and turn up the clipping or max character limit and what not it changes nothing, or turns off when I right-click to leave the screen. What can I do to increase the graphical quality higher? (sorry for so many forum posts. I love this game now, just want to maximize my experience
)

Re: Improving visual range and max character limit.
I assume that when you say "character," you mean stuff like PCs and NPCs, and not the text box.
As far as I am aware, there is no method that S-E is offering you to turn up your maximum draw distance.Originally posted by ArmandoNo one at Square Enix has heard of Occam's Razor.Originally posted by ArmandoNintendo always seems to have a legion of haters at the wings ready to jump in and prop up straw men about hardware and gimmicks and casuals.Originally posted by TaskmageGOD IS MIFFED AT AMERICA

Re: Improving visual range and max character limit.
Yes, SE offers no method, but it's possible through the Windower, which isn't exactly legal. You can extend the draw distance, which will render the environment out further. It wont change the distance at which character models will appear, as that would give you an advantage and SE would have cracked down on it.

Re: Improving visual range and max character limit.
That said, the DrawDistance plug-in is amazing. Try it out in an airship, for example...worlds of difference.Yes, SE offers no method, but it's possible through the Windower, which isn't exactly legal.
