    [dev1023] Dynamis Adjustments

    o Maps
Maps will be displayable in Dynamis areas.
Dynamis maps may be purchased from the same Goblin NPCs who sell the "Prismatic Hourglass."

    o Treasure
The drop rate for all items that enhance relic and relic +1 armor will be unified.
*This drop rate may be affected by the Treasure Hunter ability, but not by exploiting enemy weaknesses.

    * Adjustments to Dynamis-Valkurm, Dynamis-Buburimu, Dynamis-Qufim, and Dynamis-Tavnazia:
o The above areas will become non-reservable.
For more details on non-reservable Dynamis areas, please refer to the [dev1000] Dynamis Reborn! post regarding changes implemented in the May 10, 2011 version update.
With this change, Goblin NPCs will no longer sell the "Timeless Hourglass."
Furthermore, the "Perpetual Hourglass" may no longer be used to access Dynamis areas.

    o Support Job Restrictions
Players will have the option to enable or disable support job restrictions upon entering Dynamis.
Certain items required to enhance relic and relic +1 equipment will only drop if support job restrictions are enabled.
Support job restrictions may be disabled at any time by investigating the "Somnial Threshold."
*Support job restrictions cannot be enabled in this way.

    o Monsters
Certain items may be used to enfeeble boss monsters in Dynamis-Valkurm, Dynamis-Buburimu, and Dynamis-Qufim.

    o Treasure
Drop locations for relic equipment, relic -1 equipment, accessories, and hydra equipment will remain unchanged.

*Refinements to the upgrade process for relic and relic +1 equipment are still under consideration. Ingredients, drop rates, and other aspects are subject to change.

    [dev1023] Dynamis Adjustments

Its CoP Dynamis for everyone! I do like old CoP Dynamis. Tavnazia may end up being a cluster-#$%& though.

    God fucking dammit!

I liked Dreamland Dynamis the way it was, now it's just going to be more shitty neo-dynamis.

Probably not, but if that's the big deterrent then the appropriate solution is to simply lower the entry cost, not gut the whole damn event and have something else wear its skin like a mask.

What is this whole non-reservable thing they've implemented? Is Dynamis now a free-for-all to enter like WoE?

Yes, but drops don’t fall to a universal pool were all in the zone can lot. There’s a party/alliance pool just like any other area

I’m all for dynamis changes. It will finally be nice to get some accessory relic pieces. Or even just to explore the areas. Every shell I’ve been in either avoided dream lands for some reason…or just made very rare trips there. I’ve been to Dyn-Valkurm once… and that’s it.

              Yes.

You can enter once every 24hrs and you start with a 1hr timeframe and kill certain mobs to get TE's.

I'm with ya there. It didn't make the leaders their gil as much as continuously going to Sandy so why bother going, right? Even if we did go... the leaders had so many points it was impossible to get the relic -1 piece ya wanted... then you had to wait a few months to ever have the chance again.

I disagree about this new way being sh!tty. I like the fact that this event is becoming easier to do whenever you have time. I like the idea of Dynamis becoming more casual. Having this happen with the RL aging of the user-populace makes sense. As we get older, we get more RL responsibilities to attend to .... but, that doesn't mean we don't still want the shinies. As much as this is seen by many to oversimplify FFxi for the new people... these changes also allow those with priorities over FFxi to continue to enjoy the game. I'm glad to see the days of mandatory planned raids are over. I could never find an LS that went on runs during the times that I was available that actually paid the members to attend. I was exceptionally tired of feeling like I had a 2nd job.

Also, I really got sick of the feeling of being some slave fighting for scraps while building some d!psh!t their pyramid (every relic I was a part of was either for someone who left the LS right after attaining their weapon or for someone who had absolutely no clue how to play FFxi).

Thank you, I was thinking of a way to say most of that but you pin pointed it.

I constantly hated the old dynamis. To the point were I purposely logged in later to miss it. Everytime I joined a new shell...i quickly got burnt out

I love dynamnis changes. I can go with a big group or I can casually solo. I can enter when I want and dont have to wait 3 days should I decide to go again.

With that being said though, I wouldn’t mind going back to the old drop rate %s on relic. And I think I'd be OK with still Red proc'ing but it not causing terror/no-2hr

                  Re: DynamisAdjustments (8/18/11)

You're right, neo-dynamis isn't shitty, I just don't particularly enjoy it. I figured since there was that divide between the original zones and dreamland dynamis that they'd leave me the option to enjoy old style dynamis in the CoP zones, while folks who wanted to farm relics and currency could just romp through the neo-dynamis zones.

Every time I discuss this with people I get the feeling that a lot of folks don't distinguish between the event itself and the loot(or lack thereof). Other folks have simply spent far too much time in the event over the years and have inevitably developed a distaste for it that I suspect has less to do with the event itself and more to do with the fact that it was something they had to repeat ad nauseum. Spend X years in a linkshell doing one event over and over and over again? Yeah, you're gonna be sick of that by the end of it no matter what the event was.

There was a post on the Official forums asking basically that. If people wanted to enhance relic, would they want syngery or +2 basically.

                        It was originally this

The development team is currently looking into introducing relic equipment +2 in the form of synergy augments and would love to hear any feedback you have in relation to this system based on the below information.

                        Random Stats vs. Static Stats
Please let us know if you prefer static stats or random stats when adding your stats via synergy.

I will go into the specifics of the plusses and minuses later, but I’m pretty sure it’s along the same lines that you already have in mind.

Strength of the stats: Random > Static
Can obtain item with high stats, but spend time: Static > Random

Regardless of whether the stats attached are random, the whole idea is that it will give job-related enhancements. For example, there won’t be any “Enhances Berserk effect” on white mage relic equipment.

                        1. Random Stats Approach
・In order to get the best stats, you will have to repeat the process many times
・The amount of time spent and the stats received aren’t necessarily equal
・Have a possibility of getting the item in a shorter amount of time than static stat items
・There will be room to get higher stats than static stat items
                        2. Static Stats Approach
・In order to get good stats, time must be spent working towards completion
・Depending on the stats, the time needed will be adjusted
・Can predict the time needed to obtain the item
・Won’t be able to add the stats of your dreams since it is static
・Will be able to store your equipment
With all the above in mind, please let us know which system you prefer!

In regards to items not being able to be stored once augmented
We’re currently weighing the following two possibilities:

                        1. Make it possible to send relic equipment and enhanced relic equipment via delivery system
                        2. Make the stats static

                        but got redacted to this:

                        Greetings fellow adventurers!

Regarding the post Camate has made on Aug. 12th, there happens to be a mistake.

Using the synergy system to enhance artifact armors is not a final conclusion.
We are planning to decide whether we should use the synergy system or not based on the discussion held on the forums.
So for now, please send us your voices whether you prefer static stats or random stats by leaving synergy system out of the topic.

Since the general condition of the discussion was off the track, please resend your ideas if there happens to be a change along with this correction.

We apologize for the confusion this mistake may have brought.

Damn, I hope the buffs are static.

Honestly I hate random augments with a passion. I'm pretty sure that you're far more likely to spend more time dealing with the whims of the RNG than farming for a static boost.

I'd hope for static as well. /random augmentation has never been kind to me. I've seen ridonkulous armor on some people. I d k how they could be so lucky. There's one guy on my server that (idr what armor or stats) someone had found in P. Jeuno and it was staggering how many pieces of armor were amazingly augmented.
