    .dat Swapping Enspell 1s for Enspell 2s?

    Help! We all know the Enspell II series is trash and is doomed to never see the light of day again. For the majority of users, Enspell I is superior.

    However, just because Enspell I's damage output is superior doesn't mean Enspell I's eye candy appeal is superior. Enspell IIs are a waste of pretty things. So I was thinking, hey, let's make my Enspell Is look like Enspell IIs!

    Any advice anybody here can give me? I tried almighty Google but I'm dissatisfied with the results!

    I have absolutely no clue about anything involving .dat swaps but I'm keen to know if and when you figure this out because it'd be pretty nifty.

      Er, there's a new 150 Delay Dagger that Enspells II might be pretty good with. >_>

      But yeah, Enspells II are rather lackluster if you're Dual Wielding or using a multi-attack weapon, barring the one specific instance of Dual Wielding with a Dancer in the party (Enspell II + Haste Samba). It still doesn't sit right with me to call them outright garbage, however . . .

        I'm not entirely sure if it can be done, at least not on one of Squeenix's servers. I know that character animations can be switched out after seeing some rather...creepy idle stances on youtube, but I'm not sure about spell animations.

          It can definitely be done. I have a friend that does a lot of dat swapping. I'll ask him which dats those effects are and I'm sure he could dig it up fairly quickly.

            Sweet. Thanks. This came up because I was really watching one of my friends casting Enlight.

            My reaction to that was like .

            Then I cast my typical Enspell and it was all .
