    The "uh-oh we goofed" fixes

    Event-related

    * The following additions / adjustments will be made to Voidwatch.

    o A new item that will act as a substitute for the voidstone has been added.

    * Additional texts will be added to the Goblin NPCs that sell the key items to enter Dynamis. These new text will assist players by explaining the new system in detail.
    * Adjusting the location of the synergy furnace in Jeuno.


    Battle-related

    * We will be making changes to how certain monsters in the following areas will detect a player character. In addition, the monster placement of certain notorious monsters will be adjusted.
    Ranguemont Pass / Bostaunieux Oubliette / Toraimarai Canal / Zeruhn Mines / King Ranperre's Tomb / Dangruf Wadi / Inner Horutoto Ruins / Ordelle's Caves / Outer Horutoto Ruins / Eldieme Necropolis / Gusgen Mines / Crawlers' Nest / Maze of Shakhrami / Garlaige Citadel / Fei'Yin
    * The following additions / adjustments will be made to Grounds of Valor.

    o Adjusting the amount of experience points earned upon completion of a regime.
    o Increase the number of “Grounds Tome” placed within the designated areas.

    * The following adjustments will be made to the puppetmaster job.

    o The following adjustments will be made to the new automaton attachments.

    + Heat Capacitor
    It will no longer erase all Fire Maneuver effects.
    * Please note that the help message for the attachment will be adjusted at a later date.
    + Power Cooler
    It will reduce the MP cost even if there are no Ice Maneuvers in effect.
    + Galvanizer
    It will increase the chance of countering even if there are no Thunder Maneuvers in effect.

    o The following adjustments will be made to the new weapon skills that were added. In addition, we will address an issue wherein the damage of the weapon skill is not calculated properly.

    + String Shredder
    Increasing the damage and the addition of status bonuses.
    + Armor Shatterer
    Increasing the damage and the addition of status bonuses.
    Changing the skillchain element from Fragmentation / Scission to Fusion / Impaction.

    * The following issue with the summoner job will be addressed.

    o An issue wherein the damage of “Crescent Fang,” “Mountain Buster,” “Tail Whip” is higher than intended.

    * The following additions / adjustments will be made to Abyssea.

    o The game will remember the Atma that the player was last infused with.
    o Adjustments will be made to the new methods that were added to obtain empyrean upgrade items.
    o Placing additional “???” which can be used to spawn certain notorious monsters.
    o Adjusting the location of new Abyssea support NPCs that have been added to San d’Oria / Bastok / Windurst.


    Item-related

    * Increasing the number of new linkshells that are sold.


    Other issues that will be addressed

    * An issue wherein a previously etched aperture is removed from an item during synergy.
    * An issue wherein certain text within the Fellowship Quest is incorrect

    This sounds like it's going to be a step in the right direction but shatter mob detection consistency. Shouldn't they just be re-tweaking the mob placement instead?

        Side note: can you stop quoting what they say? It makes it rather difficult to actually put it into a quick reply for subsequent threads, since you can't quote a quote.

        So... the last atma, not necessarily the last atmas... eh, it's a step in the right direction, and can be useful in a limited capacity at least.
        And the Abyssea NPCs were moved... where? Better/equivalent locations I hope, more than Heaven's Tower at least.

        And the attachment updates are pure win as far as I'm concerned.

            May 13th Version Update Details

            Following adjustments / additions are planned to be made during the additional version update that is scheduled to take place on May 13, 2011.


            With updates that have already been announced, however require a client update or more time on development/testing will be implemented on the additional version update that is scheduled to be performed next week.

            Battle-related

            * How certain monsters in the following areas will detect a player character will be changed.
            Ranguemont Pass / Bostaunieux Oubliette / Toraimarai Canal / Zeruhn Mines / King Ranperre's Tomb / Dangruf Wadi / Inner Horutoto Ruins / Ordelle's Caves / Outer Horutoto Ruins / Eldieme Necropolis / Gusgen Mines / Crawlers' Nest / Maze of Shakhrami / Garlaige Citadel / Fei'Yin

            * The following adjustment will be made to Grounds of Valor.

            o Distribution of target monsters in certain regimes that take place in The Eldieme Necropolis.

            * The following adjustments will be made to the puppetmaster job.

            o Automaton attachments will be adjusted as follows:

            + Power Cooler
            It will reduce the MP cost even if there are no Ice Maneuvers in effect.
            + Galvanizer
            It will increase the chance of countering even if there are no Thunder Maneuvers in effect.

            o The following adjustments will be made to the new weapon skills that were added. In addition, we will address an issue wherein weapon skill damage was not calculated properly.

            + String Shredder
            Damage will be increased and status bonuses added.
            + Armor Shatterer
            Damage will be increased and status bonuses added.
            Skillchain element will be changed from Fragmentation / Scission to Fusion / Impaction.

            * The following adjustment will be made to Abyssea.

            o Empyrean upgrade items can now be obtained from certain notorious monsters.


            Item-related

            * The number of new linkshells sold will be increased.


            Miscellaneous

            * An issue wherein the skillchain effect of Inhibitor will not apply on the weapon skills String Shredder and Armor Shatterer, where automaton will continue to stand by.
            * An issue wherein the damage of the blood pacts Crescent Fang, Mountain Buster, and Tail Whip was higher than intended.
            * An issue wherein both Aptant and Pigment can be used for synergy and a previously etched aperture will be removed from an item.



            *Adjustment on Heat Capacitor where it will no longer erase all Fire Maneuver effects will be made in the future update.
            * Aromor Shatterer will also increase the accuracy along with the increase of damanger and the addition of status bonuses.

            Screw that shit, get to the Abysea ??? already. There was at least 5 God damned groups all spamming Carabosse last night, spent a good 3 hours total farming and trying to pop her and only got in 1 fight before we disbanded. Shit' getting ridiculous.

            Thank gawd I got 2 Gems off the kill and only need 10 more.

              Maybe i'm reading your response wrong...

              But, I’m kina lost here. I lurk BG a lot and I’ve noticed your carabosse process has been slow since you started. Mainly because your LS members are usually busy and shouts no longer work because people don’t need the atma.

              Now that they added +2 items (and you can finally get a group together) your complaining that it’s too crowded?

              do i have that right?

              I’m not sure what the more ???s are for but that last thing I would be thinking is multiple NMs up at the same time…that just doesn’t make any sense to me.

                  I wanna make sure I got this right.

                  Are you suggesting they will be making NMs such as Heqet, Amun, Guaz pop-able via ??? or that SE will now allow 2 or 3 Carabosses up at the same time.

                      Development and testing is currently in progress and details of the update may change. Additional announcements will be made in case these happen.

                      * By entering Chocobo Circuit from Port Jeuno, players will be eligible to move to the following areas.

                      * If the vial of shrouded sand is in the player's possession while the progress status is inadequate, players must check the Trail Markings once again after the version update.
                      * The Treasure Casket appears after defeating Goblin's Bats in Ranguemont Pass.
                      * The monster that spawns from "???" in Behemoth's Dominion was not spawning.
                      * Pet, Wyvern and Automaton may become invincible under certain circumstances.
                      * The effect of Barrage Turbine was also active on frames other than the Sharpshot Frame.
                      * The following items being deliverable:
                      Bridal Corsage / Benedight Coat / Benedight Hose / Chocobo Whistle
                      * In case these items have been delivered to another character on the same account, they cannot be sent back to the character who originally possessed them.

                        I finished whm body the other day and went to upgrade. When I traded my seals the following came up

                        -trial *2503 (10 seals remaining)
                        -trial 0 (322011 seals remaining)

                        Though that was odd.
                        *I don’t remember the correct trial for whm body, but that number was actually correct

                        The following issues will be fixed
                        Pet, Wyvern and Automaton may become invincible under certain circumstances.

                          I think this just means more than one ??? for those NMs will now spawn to relieve congestion.

                            Pretty much, thanks SE. This was badly needed. Of course why do I get the suspicion that some groups are just going to be dicks and try to claim both ??? at the same time -__-'


                            Sad they didn't make Heqet a force spawn, but at least you can get his hat from gold boxes now.

                              It was taken away from Avatars, might as well make it fair
                              There’s a slight difference between avatars and jugs

                              For avatars, you needed to get 1 atma. And avatars already have –pdt to begin with. Very little work was involved.

                              For Bsts you need
                              at least 2 Atmas
                              2 final forms of ToM –pdt axes
                              the +1/2 emph legs
                              the MKE helm with the augment (from an add-on with a series of quests)
                              Shep chain (which is a horrible drop rate)

                              if they lower it down to 90% or i beleve 87.5% (thats what avatars are now right?) then i can live with that...at least we can replace with a strong regen atma and still have some solo capibilities

                              but if it gets nerfed to like...50% (i belive thast what players get) i think thats some bullshit. the -pdt thing was the only thing bst had going for it in abyssea. We dont get invited for our damage tbh and we're horrible when it comes to proc'ing. At best we were fillers for xp alliances.
