Haha, fuck no, DNC was awesome and fun to level. NIN and SMN were both extremely painful to level. SMN got to where it is because of astral burn. No other reason.

Crap... that's the next job I'm considering taking up... NIN... mainly cuz it's already at 45 and I haz all the spellz so far. Maybe I should just say "fuck it" and go MNK or WAR... or maybe even BLM though BLM spells are pretty damn spendy these days.

Oh you see, you're already winning on NIN then. I stopped at 37. Literally, ding 37, drop party, Mijin Gakure, never touched again.

It may be different past that, I have no idea. But leveling that job as a sub was the worst leveling experience of FFXI.

Wow. Harsh. I actually found it really fun. The only part I didn't like was skilling up Ninjitsu. That was painful as all hell.

RNG was the worst for me... I got it to 37 only for aCP then was in a party that didn't even need me as SAM/rng. Haven't touched that since.

NIN has been okay. Mostly solo these days waiting for a party that's never gonna come calling.

It's probably fun at cap. SMN was a lot more fun at 75 than it was in xp parties and in astral burns. Even though it was horribly underleveled, skill wise, I enjoyed blowing up Odin and getting random .5 skillups off him. On the random occasion that I didn't have to be on WHM.

Generally I want to enjoy actually leveling a job. That's not what happened with either of those jobs.

I was, but I synced it down a few times for the LS to help people out in places like G. Citadel and Y. Jungle. I know what became available at those levels now and getting a chance to play with a restricted level gave me more appreciation for the progression of the job.
