Honestly if you all want to transfer go ahead. With GW2 and SWTOR about to go free to play it's not as if taking a hiatus from the game until I can afford a transfer would bother me all that much.

I've been fighting Apedemak for a few days now just to get 9/9 Jewels of Ardor. I effing hate this guy. I'm not so sure I would want to see him die another 50+ times to get my Horns. I think I'll just stick with 85 and be happy about it.

If you’ve beaten him a couple times the regular way, I see no issue with multi-brewing him. Get 3 or 4 peeps the KI, brew it, then do it again a week later. Eventually you get to like 50+ horns and everyone decides to power your way though it lol.

dont get me wrong, there job is tough as hell...but we pay upwards of $325 a week for 2 kids. And i think thats on the cheaper end.

Goal of multiple weeks: get RDM 75 by the September version update.

Goals of the month:

Do Limbus Temenos every 3 days to progress towards Ultima. (Currently 1/7)

Do Einherjar every 3 days to progress towards Odin. (Currently 1/9)

Do Dynamis every day to fund my AF2 upgrades with Currancy and Forgottens. (Currently nowhere near close to finished)

Do 1 assault a day to work towards Captain rank. (Currently 10/50)

Continue to level up my Adventuring fellow during the down time. (Currently level 72 and ready to break her limit from 75 to 80)

My goal for tonight if I’m not too occupied.

Amber farm in La-Thiene for a Taru Sash with TH+1.

There’s been talk on BG the past few days about how PUPs can do quite well in dynamis. possibly comparable to Bsts. The game seems to consider things like flashbulb and provoke a WS. So basically a Pup/??? can go in and farming families during WS time for little or no competition.

If no sash, might have to go pup/thf. I think with the sash opens up other subs.
Plus it would be cool to have.

I've solo'd dyna on Pup and Bst.
I'm not shockingly bad as either job but it's probably fair to say I'm not one of the elite. I do find solo in those areas tricky as before dyna was changed I had 0 experience with it. so it takes me a while to get settled and find my own rhythm. PUp solo for me was insane. Maybe I suck at puling but I found as a Pup solo I sacrificed myself and Lulu during pulls relying on rr. I prefer bst for dyna.

Don't get me wrong I love pup. it's my fave of the pet jobs I just prefer bst being more robust.
You may find this easier if your'e experienced at dyna solo. As I said before I'm not experienced as such so even on bst i find it tricky but doable.

My goals is to look at my lists and figure out where I am in my things to do now I have my pc back.

I know most of the Dynamis areas like the back of my hand. Maybe not Windy as much, but all other areas I know very well. I’ve done A LOT of dynamis….old and new.
Which is very helpful to say the least. It was a rough start but halfway though i got into a groove.

I think I posted this in the Accomplishment thread but I can throw some info up here.

Proc-ing wasn’t a whole lot different from Bst/Dnc. It’s just a matter of keeping Fire/light/Dark maneuvers up while spamming WS. I used Shoulder Tackle if not proc’d, stringing pummel if proc’d.

I picked up 120 ish coins but there was A LOT of room for improvement. No deaths…infact barely got into the red. Brought 24 oils too..but didn’t use any. Stuck to mobs that don’t AoE damage (Hippos/Manticore/Fly). Flys do AoE but sheep were too far and I wasn’t about to try Sabators. I fought on the edges. Didn’t worry about links (pup has nice evasion) unless I got 3 or more.

I don’t remember all attachments but I used…(don’t remember the names)

The Conserve MP
Economizer
Auto Repair I
Flashbulb
Damage Gauge
Provoke
Disruptor (it’s another proc BUT useless since mobs didnt buff themselves)
Turbo Charger
Armor I
The -Enmity one

Regen kept my Auto near 100% so I can recall it. Economizer is a nice attachment to have. If anyone wants more info on my run, lemme know. I’m interested in making this work as well as a Bst.

Hi guys,
This isnt an accomplishment but rather a question regarding something on my to do list.
I started on the H2H Empy weapon via trial of the magians, My idea was if I ever get to get buds I can trade them as I go.
I've not read anything on chloris being solo'd other than the video of the Rdm doing it with an inventory full of temp items and medicines.
I'm 2 trials away from the bud stages but I'm unsure how I should approach chloris buds, From what I gather with pick up groups in shouts everybody pops one after the other until done, I don't have the time to play for 18 people to get it done that way and I'm always cautious of thieves in the game. I'd consider paying a merc to do it but again my server is notorious for shady people and linkshells full of shady people.

I'm just curious to how you guys approach building an empy like that or have friends with Vere and know how they did it.
I'm part of a small social linkshell and I imagine together we could all do it if we were all together.
My apologies for my question here but I didnt think it needed a thread to itself and couldnt see a thread that matched my question in the general ffxi discussion part.

The only threat that Chloris poses is Fatal Scream, which is AoE Doom. Holy waters and Cursna on a quick trigger are a must, but even then aren't 100%. It can be duoed by a competent healer and any melee (though having a THF for TH is always a good idea).

The hardest part (or most tedious I guess I should say) about farming Chloris (and Glavoid) is getting the KIs.

Or could my bst do it riding the call beast timer?
I have recently become more active in my linkshell just tagging along to absorb damage hold pop items and just see how things are. If I asked every now and then they more than likely would say yes,
You can probably imagine what I'm like in the Ls, I'm the person that chats alot, Mt's even more. I'm like the Ls welcoming committee when I'd like to be the quarterback, well maybe not the quarterback but at least the waterboy

It depends on how fast you kill it. When Rom and I duo (WHM & THF) it has used it three or four times. When Rom, Rook, and I trio (THF, WAR, WHM) it generally only uses once. There have been times when it doesn't use it at all. There have also been times when Cursna or Holy Water takes doom off the first or second time, but sometimes we die. You might be able to solo as a BST (because a BST can solo just about anything) but if you get caught, it might get stolen. This would waste a lot of KI farming time.
