Can anyone attest to the damage difference? I'm having a hard time believing that a +6 to the element is ultimately worth the time investment. How much damage are we talking?

For reference, my Blizzard V deals a consistent 5200 and my Blizzard IV seals roughly 4000 with atmas, buffs and MaB gear.

HQ staves have +2 magic affinity which boosts damage by 15%.

The final magian staves grant +6 magic affinity, which equates to +35% damage.

They kick tremendous amounts of ass.

Eyeballing it...that sounds vaguely correct. It's a significant boost.

There is a reason my nukes hit like a truck even on RDM, and it ain't just my MAB gear.

I haven't posted in this thread in awhile, but here goes (will take much longer than a week):

Twashtar 90: I only have 5 Glav shells so far, and I don't expect it to be fast. Maybe by the end of the year.

+2 AF for my five jobs (currently 16/25):
4/5 for WHM - only hands to go
3/5 for DNC - hands and legs to go
2/5 for BLM - head, hands, and body to go
4/5 for WAR - only head to go
3/5 for PUP - head and body to go

Also: Thanks to the changes they announced on Parry, I'm going to be working on that this week too and trying to cap it out. Hopefully it'll be enough for me to just gather up a lot of Apkallu or Mandragora and let them whoop up on me for a while.

PDT- gear, Defense Gear combined with Atma of the Cloak and Dagger, Atma of Vicissitude and Atma of The Mounted Champion should be enough for a NIN/DNC to hold about 40 of them alone. I'll just have to find a WHM to hit me with Protect V before I head out.

Oh come on…I think we can do better than that. You’ll get it sooner, I’m sure of it. I have just been occupied with other things and don’t always realize that I’m probably neglecting other LS members. I’ve been on this ‘omg I’m gonna get a mythic weapon’ high lately and it’s consuming me.

Seriously…you gotta see the things I’ve been doing in my down time at work.

Mapped out a couple salvage runs to help others with gear if they wanted it.
Constantly calculating how much alex I have vs how much I need to pull in a week to keep it under a year.
What’s the best approach to getting more Nyzle tokens
What’s the best approach getting Ichor
What to farm for gil to buy more Alex (so burnt out of dynamis atm)
Planning the right assaults so that me, Rook and at maybe Teaka (and/or who ever else wants to join) can go w/o getting to ahead of each other.

Thats my goal for the couple weeks. Focus on Chorlis and Glav pops for you and rook….and do more salvage (bah!!! See?!?! I’m doing it again)
