Apademak-specific brewing tips: Sanguine works well

Atma of Sanguine Scythe? Why would that be used? Most effective way to brew iirc is with elemental WS.

Lets see. I left because noone I knew was playing anymore and/or left... you know, people like YOU. Then just after I had settled in and become comfortable playing on Lakshmi with you and TM, you both left. Not only did you leave though, but you both left at the same time, with little warning.

In the time between then and now, more and more people are re-surfacing on Valefor that I used to play with/enjoy the company of. Mhurron started again as did his wife. Cid is doing well in his new LS. Hayde just re-subbed yesterday. Lyulf (my RL buddy you didn't get along with) has decided to play again. Hell I think Gobo is actually coming back too.

I don't make a HUGE amount of money with my job, but I make enough to live comfortably and to pay for the occasional thing I want. Some people go out and buy a new game while I'm happy just messin with FFXI in my spare time. The money I save by not paying for NEW games, I occasionally opt to spend on transfering servers instead.

To me, it's a more enjoyable playing experience if I can be around people I like being around, especially if w share common interests (like DiV). It costs me no more money than it would if I were to say "hey Murph, lets go grab a beer, I'm buyin".

Some people might see it as a waste of money, but I really don't spend a lot of money on myself to begin with.

No no, Sanguine Blade. He's less resistant to dark element than others, I think. And having multiple Apademaks up at once is just asking for it. Even one of them can get a long stun in with fulmination or reset your TP and knock precious time off your brew. Three at once would probably be capable of wiping you even with brew up if they're in a bad mood that day.

This says more to me about what a terrible value it is to buy a beer at a bar than anything else. I mean jeebus. I'll get drunk at home for less than half the price and not have to worry about driving anywhere afterwards, thanks.

I completely agree. I hardly ever go out for a beer anyway given the hours that I work. By the time I'm out of here I cant even make it to last call. Some places do offer $2 drafts at certain times/on certain days. Unfortunately most of those places are sports bars. Sports are not my cup of tea.

Edit: Incidently, Tea is also not my cup of tea.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, that makes much more sense. I just started using Sanguine Scythe instead of Gnarled Horn and had that in my head. Completely forgot about S.Blade. My bad.

Again I don’t have any exp on Apad, but I see your point on popping multiples. It works on some NM. We did it with Bukhis and Drauga a lot (for Farsha and Verth (I think)). I even did 2 Isgebinds at the same time but I recall it being risky.

I dunno, maybe a little of both? I like beer alright, just not enough to suck down three or more in a sitting. Usually I drink Corona, which is pretty light I think but goes with the hot climate down here. When it's colder I'll keep some Guinness around. I'm on good terms with the Sam Adams my friend usually has, but I'm never interested in a second bottle and the same goes for the various local brews I've tried.

This is an odd thread for this conversation to take place in.

And seriously, Yyg. I wasn't trying to be mean. It's just that I've found that every server is essentially the same. I moved AWAY from Valefor for exactly the reasons you stated. There was no one to play with, you and I were never on at the same time, and Lago's LS on Lakshmi was exactly what I was looking for. When the LS essentially died at the end of summer, there was less and less reason to log on. Plus, real life got in the way, and quite frankly it is simply not prudent or even really possible to pay to play FFXI right now (to be fair, you have no idea what my situation is right now, but suffice it to say it is pretty fucked up).

I'm glad there are people returning on Valefor that you want to play with. I hope that they and you are able to continue to do fun stuff together. Though that Lyulf dude is straight crazy.
