Goal for tonight...

I’m going to bite the bullet and no longer be hoarder. I’m constantly 70+/80 in every inventory slot and it’s time I clear my Mog house/Storage/Locker.
I’ll admit that I need to use the porter moogle more as well too.

There’s so many stupid things that for some reason I’m having a hard time letting go.
Here’s a small list of things I’m just going to toss and try not to get butthurt about.

You might look at all those items and think…those are useless now…those were useless way before they even raised the 75 cap ><.
But all these items have a bit of nostalgia. Those are all trophies I earned back in the day solo on Bst. I can probably tell you about each and everyone of those fights. I remember them that well.

I might keep Amanojaku though. Probably one of the hardest fights I’ve solo’d (Ogama is the NM). Took me many deaths to get that stupid Katana ><

I need to do the same thing. I did a bit over the weekend and actually used the Porter Moogle for the first time. But now I have to go through all the "trophies" or objects with sentimentality attached and just drop a bunch of Rare/Ex junk I'll most likely never use.

My hoarder's nature had to be put on the backburner about 2 weeks ago. I junked a whole ton of crap that I knew I'd never have any use for. Most of the things I threw out were items that were rare/ex that were WORSE than another similar item and only differed in level or job requirements. I also devoted a day to finding AS MANY COFFERS AS I COULD and told myself that any keys I had left at the end of the day would be tossed.

Coffer keys... oye... yeah... I need to get rid of many of those... but almost everytime I get rid of one... a mob looks at me the wrong way so I'm forced get into a duel... then I inevitably end up with another key. Could be a key that usually takes many mobs to drop... doesn't matter cuz I don't need it so the droprates skyrocket.

Goals atm : Lvl Sam as much as possible (lvl 20 atm), and hopefully be useful to someone this week, (oh and if im really luck) get some limit breaks done

Unlock more advanced jobs. I've got Beastmaster, Dancer, and Dark Knight, and plan on working on Bard, Paladin, Dragoon, and Summoner next. Then actually level some more. Probably level Thief and Dancer more.

My goal is to finish getting WHM leg seals. I think I can finally do this. A couple of people in my LS have started doing NM runs. It was (and probably still will be) a little rocky until we get the hang of it.

I know this topic is for goals of the ‘week’ but I figured I’d post here anyway…plus this topic has been dead for some time and may need to be revived…(I kinda enjoyed it).

I have recently been contemplating making a Guttler as LONG term goal. Probably a stupid idea…but it’s something I’ve wanted for my favorite job since I first laid eyes on it. While I will certainly use it full time (should I ever get it), I’m not necessarily doing it because it’s the bestest axe ever (because if that were the case I’d probably do Farsha instead). It’s more of goal I want to finish before I ever quit (which I don’t plan on at the moment). That goal wasn’t realistic for me until the recent dynamis changes.

With all the new emph pieces, augment item…etc, I’ve been finding myself spending much less on armor & Weapons than I used to. And now with the dynamis update…It’s starting to seem more feasible (but I know it will take a very long time…). I’m assuming this can take anywhere from 1-2 years if I somewhat keep up with it. Goal is to have it before I quit or servers shut down.

After a week (ish) of toying around in each of the zone with some different job combos, it turns out Dynamis – Beau is the best place to be while on Bst/Dnc. Can easily farm 50+ coins solo. Found a great camp to farm shells with relative ease and decent spot to farm Bronze pieces…Byne bills are a different story. Kinda hard to fight things that link to sound.

And with lots of people farming for gil, I’m hoping currency will go slightly down. Hopefully I can buy some low.

I have 2 friends that are willing to help me for at least the first 2 stages and a couple other people who wouldn’t mind joining for some relic pieces only. I’m sure they will get burnt out fast but I’ll take any help I can get.

I’ll have to research the cities more…so if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. I duo’d Dynamis – Sandy last night…and it fuggen sucked. Very limited camping area and the spots I did find didn’t have many of the job types that I needed. The TEs are a pain to get on anything but Bst too.

Figured I’d throw my progress up here once in a while. Right now (currency wise) I’m almost 3% finished, WAHOO

318 / 10,300 Shells
109 / 1,400 Bronze Pieces
68 / 6,000 Byne Bills.

Not going to actually ‘upgrade’ the weapon until the officially decision is made. That way if become a sissy and back out, I can at least be rich lol…but again, gil has limited uses for me at this point.

I hear you on the limited gil use. When I came back to the game a year ago, I had 1mil to my name (something I saved up prior to leaving so that I would have a nest egg should I ever return).

Without doing a single day of farming, I have managed to get up to almost 10mil... and still have nothing to really spend it on.

Since my return, I've leveled up WHM, COR and NIN to 90... not an easy or cheap task. Even with the masive money sink that spells/dice/tools are... I still made profit. I've been toying with the idea of going ater Nirvana myself... for SMN. Given my extra money and nothing to spend on... I've set myself on buying up all the Alexandrite I can find. I pass a bazaar... I check for it... if it's below 3k/each... I buy it.

I'm up to around 300/30,000.

There are obviously other things that I need to do as wlell... tedious and horrible things... but like you, I plan to accomplish this before I quit the game. it's my long long long term goal.

Yeah, I kinda forgot about this thread. And yeah... I've never had this much gil at one time ever, yet I don't see anything I want to spend it on. Don't think I'll go for a relic tho. I already built pyramids for others. Left a bad taste in my mouth.

Goals:
~For BLU~

Ungimp my Blue Magic. Been leeching on Charged Whisker Burns (so addictive) with a buddy getting KIs for Briar Helms. Doesn't really take very long anymore to ungimp the skills. Usually get them from farming my spells on mobs around my lvl.

Farm more BLU spells. Got a few outta the way this weekend but there are just so many.

Once I hit BLU 75 I'm gonna start in on my ToM STR/DEX swords. Think I'll just go with the flow on these instead of going all out and attempting to get them complete ASAP. After my GK trials where I went the Stp route at first then dropped it for the Hagun2.0, I'm really reluctant to start another.

Guess I need to start thinking about BLU AF3 +1 (DNC is my next +2 set) seals.

Farm up a Refresh pin outta chests while leeching RNG or WAR up on somone CWB'n KIs.

Lvl RDM 24-30 so I can burn that up to sub lvl. Did I mention how addictive that is? =D

Guess I'll stop there... I know I could keep going but not sure on what exactly.

Only thing I can think of is getting Epona's. Besides Epona's, I can't find anything I want that isn't a trophy (i.e., finish AF2, Raider's earring) that I want gear-wise.

Ungimp my Marksmanship. And in so doing free up a whole shitload of inventory slots from when I used to keep all types of bolts on my person or in my satchel at all times. I mean, I got stacks and stacks of bolts just sitting there.

Hell ya bud!! Good luck to you. From what I understand, the alexandrite are the most annoying part…but I haven’t researched mythic much so don’t quote me.

By doing Dominion / Abyssea / NMs etc... selling the stuff I dont need.

I was in Abyssea Altep just today... killing Akrabs while I waited for Hedjedjet to spawn. They drop HQ Scorp Claws that sell for 30k on the AH.

Pop items are the way to go. I dont mean to farm them... they just drop... and people who are too lazy to farm them buy them for outragious prices.

The 3 types of Gigas in Aby LaThein drop pop items that each sell for 20-40k. If you dedicate like 20 min to killing them... you can make about 100k.
