You know you can use that flatscreen TV as an output for a PC, right? I'm sure you know you can get a PS2 to USB converter too.

I won't deny the merits of playing on a bigscreen TV with controller in hand, but maintaining PS2/XBox360 support indefinitely is not helping the game and needs to eventually be dropped.

I can still somewhat see the 360, at least that is a current-gen console. PS2 is has been showing its age for a while now.

That doesn't help the issue of really really REALLY not wanting to play on a computer. I think it would be a logistical nightmare in our house.

The game is over. It most likely will not be getting a full expansion ever again and little addons do not add enough to warrant or require a major change to the engine. Also, by SE's last number a large number of players are using the PS2. They want to milk the most out of the people still playing, they aren't going to shut them out.

Like 2/3 of the JP users are PS2. Not sure about NA but it's less than 1/3 I think.
