Iron Giant observation

I thought this was interesting.

I was poking around in Aby Misea. coast, and found the iron giant there. I was looking around the spot where you would warp into Riverne, and turned to leave. I saw a little red orb suddenly appear over the giant and start pulsating and then it disappeared after about 4-5 pulsations. Time was about 14:44 Iceday.

Quite curious.

Might just be the reflect the curiosities of the CoP version. There was that wyvern that would stop by the lakeside in Lufaise Meadows. Untargetable and a rare occurance.

Maybe the Iron Giant was offering abductees to its alien masters. Have there been any dhamel mutilations?

There is also a strange orb in Dynamis Jueno that comes and goes by the palace entrance. I think Ive seen it somewhere else too.

You probably have a better chance of seeing it snow in Batilla Downs, which is another rarity. But here's one of the sightings:

I do like these little touches to the zones, though. They're rare, memorable treats that remind you these zones did get some love when they were designed and have rare moments beyond NM spawn conditions.

Kinda sad how we can overlook the little things, but at least for a while in FFXIV such moments will be enjoyed.

That is until three years pass, everyone's high level and they only care about endgame, anyway.

Oh cool, that's what it is!

I've only seen it from a distance, I never knew it dipped down next to the lake.

You know you've played too much Demon's Souls when you want to run for cover when you see a wyvern diving down towards you.

nope, YM, your both right, glitched flowers in both zones.

forget where la theine is, but konstchat is if your facing north on the tele-pad, and you turn to the right (east) and head around the crag that direction, like your headed to the maw, you'll see them just off the road going south sort of floating there, with kind of an invisible line through the bottom of them. It's pretty funnie.
