With the September version update fast approaching, the development team is putting the finishing touches on another set of formidable new weapon skills that will be added to the repertoire of adventurers wielding empyrean weapons, as well as certain arms upgraded through Trial of the Magians.

The Staff seems to be player-centered AoE. Invisibility is probably just a temporary disappear that happens in some animations (think Dragonfoe Mambo).

The archery one looks gorgeous though.

I don't think you can copywrite an action. Especially if they don't mention any characters by name. Though the WS is referring the old french fairytale (if my google-fu is accurate) of "The Swan Song" (which is also the WS's literal translation) where a swan who was mute it's entire life finally sung a song as it knew it was going to die.

Pretty sure it falls under trademark, actually.

I know for a fact that some of MJ's dance moves were patented, although some of those also include technology that make them possible on stage.

I sure hope this means you can *learn* the WS from a TotM weapon, like mythics, and not that you have to have one equipped to use it (or worse, one from a specific path). It would suck to have the weapons I'm still working on be reduced to crap before I even finish them because they don't unlock UberWS.

dont forget the last set of "Marvelous Weapon Skills to Wield!" were a load of shit for most people. Not getting too excited about the weapon skills. Just hope the new trials finally see the death of hagun, all that time on the str att GK for hagun to stilll be better made me a bit sick.
