  • Authenticator

I've been trying to get a bloody authenticator from the FFXI store, but it's been out of stock forever. I am getting the FFXIV collector's edition though, which comes with an authenticator for FFXIV. I have my PlayOnline account linked with my SquareEnix ID. If I use the authenticator for FFXIV, does anyone know if it will work on FFXI automatically as well, or if each game has their own authenticator? Also wondering if I'll get the benefits of the FFXI authenticator with the bigger storage.
My character's name is Cadar on Cerberus.

    Re: Authenticator

I think you can use the FFXIV authenticator with the FFXI if you link them to your Square Enix account.

Sweet, thanks. The Mog Satchel you get for the Authenticator in FFXI is for linking it to the account and not for purchasing it right? I want to make sure there isn't any benefit to buying the FFXI one I'll miss out on.

        Re: Authenticator

Correct - you should get the Satchel in FFXI simply for securing the linked S-E account.
