Problem finding party after update

I want so badly to get my SAM up to 80 BUT seems I can't even get the party to get my 3 merits.
Funny thing is not knowing that it requires 3 merits, I spent my 3 merits BEFORE the update started lol.
Stupid me lol. But still, I have created 5 parties and have tried mamool SP, halvung, SP, nyulz isle (spelling), caedarva mire, EVEN SOLOING IS TRASHED.

I have though started the mission and got to 3 according to ff11 wiki. Don't have time to do find out anything else because I have to work a shitty shift in which the shift is the time I have to work is when people get most of the partying done. Not only that but but (not complaining about this) the DEDICATION is back! So no reps, get invited or anything.

What is players to do that have to work? Camps are ALL taken. Soloing is nil. I have even had 5 people or more at yhoater doing FoV...left no mobs...

If this is it, then wow sad to have to leave ff11 this way, im not getting left behind because of a work schedule and over crowded camps in every leveling area...

I guest instead of me venting, research is at hand to fine new camps....I wonder if SE thought if this and added a good camping spot noone knows of.. hmmm

Heaven forbid work gets in the way of playing FFXI -.- Why do you think many have to quit? (me included) and move on to games that dont take as much time.

Also its been A DAY, and your already bitching? go solo to get your 3 merits and finish the quest, and stop crying.

Solo is trashes because for the people that can'ty get parties yet ARE soloing, in the known solo areas.
I'm not a BIG time player with many accomplishments but where do that leave players like me? After everything is opened back up we are left behind and shouting for hours at a time for help..

Thats my complaint, i dont wanna be shouting for hrs on end to have some damn fun.
I know there is really nothing to be done. venting won't help shit. I know there are players that feel the same way though. I haven't been able to do anything because its fucken crowded. So yup let me sit back and let every one finish then when I shout all the VETERANs can fuck you off and move about their business...

Do campaign battles or FoV, use level-sync. Wasting time by complaining is simply wasting time.

The party people are sitting on their hands while the solo jobs are slowly but surely trucking ahead. Balance has been rightly restored to the world.

When I'm on BST, I think the SAM can fuck off and move about their business a lot. Indeed, balance has been rightly restored to the world, if only for 5 levels.

Again, the update is maybe a day old by now. I’ll bet even some vets are having trouble leveling. There are probably plenty of others JUST LIKE YOU. I’m sure there’s also a number of people that haven’t even had the chance to DL the update yet.

Also, keep in mind there’s like…hundreds of players with multiple 75 jobs. Once they hit 80 on a job…they’ll probably go to the next. There’s still hope for you. Hang in there buddy, day 2 might be a little better for you.

How about you jump into my world? Guess how many xp parties I’ll get into with BST?

The camps are just crowded for now. Last night, I did a /sea all 75-80 inv, and the list of 80-some was too long to display. That never happens on Ifrit, update or no update. lol.

(Yes, I joined an LS party. No, we didn't even bother to try Colibri or Jade Sepulcher.)

You really think that's not going to improve pretty much instantly by just finding somewhere else to level?

You think that's bad, have you never been around for an update where SE adds a major quest? And has VERY BAD BOTTLENECKS in said quests?

When the NPC update came out, the first thing lots of people did was try to get one. By the time I got to the Necropolis part of the quest, there was a line going from the ??? clear back to the entrance, nothing but players; and it wasn't a short wait. Eventually the line jumping got so bad that the people in line were basically going to be waiting indefinitely; quite a few gave up and either cut the line themselves (including myself; I'd rather have it be fair if it won't be sensible, but SE didn't design that in either), or just went and did something else. When I got to Ghelsba or whatever that orc place is called, the line was nearly back to the entrance there too.

FFXI has never been about instant gratification. You don't instantly get all the new toys after an update. Things don't instantly return to normal; especially not after something like a cap change. These five levels alone would have players sorting out the details for quite a long time, let alone the updates later this year.

I've yet to hit max level in FFXI, but I still play it because when I get something done, I feel like it's an actual accomplishment, like I had to earn it.
