Heck, I'm pretty sure I remember hearing about somebody testing this in a merit party setup, and that even now, before the level cap has even been increased, it doesn't work.

Really, I'm going to laugh once the update hits, and the people who think they'll be all clever and cheat the system for easy merits above level 75 realize that what they're planning isn't going to work at all. I'll ready the popcorn.

This I did not know. I guess they already have something in place to prevent it.

Personally I want to go to exp parties in new zones. I'm a "lot" tired of colibri. Not saying that is the only mob I ever fight in merit parties, but it seems to be the majority.

Absolutely love the look of some of the weapons, especially Masamune omfg. Gold & Black with that dark blue finish ...


And note the clause about "ancient Moogle magic" once again, I'm saying the OAT weapons are the base forms and these "Empyrean Weapons" are the "Ultimate" weapons SE spoke of. (also the "Gods among weapons" bit)

That means COR can use the gun, btw (and the Sword is open to BLU RDM & PLD)

Edit 2: It looks like all the outdoor shots in the trailer are set in either La Theine, Konschtat, or Tahrongi. All are areas that are not accessible in the Crystal War era, is there some connection? (BTW, do we know whether or not Tavnazia has already been destroyed in the accessible parts of the Crystal War era? I don't recall any mention of it either way, although I haven't finished the WotG storylines yet.)

The info on the mobs does suggest that some "cataclysm" fucked up these zones, and something about dimensional isolation.

Wouldn't be the first time we've seen temporal/spacial distortions in Vana'diel, which makes me wonder if Bahamut was involved.

They're on the main Vision of Abyssea website, under the "Empyrean Weapons" tab. And they all seem to be following an Empirical rule that "bigger = better!"

Only the H2H, dagger and sword look WoW-size to me. The rest look about the same size as any other weapon of their type.

Gah, I dread thinking about how after each update rolls out, there will be a new grand compilation CD you have to buy to get something wicked cool like the damn Nexus Cape...hope they don't pull that one again and make us buy the super-new anniversary collection come December

Are they really though or was the weapon emphasized in order to show it off? I thought the same thing, it would seem odd to create just a few of comic size and leave the rest about the same as everything else.

If you bought all three of the previous addons you also qualified for the nexus cape. You didn't have to buy the collection. The reason you also got it with the collection was because by having that, you bought all three addons.

Ya I also think they did it for emphasis. The Taru with the axe and club look normal. That sword though...I certainly hope it's not that size! I do absolutely love the bow!

I do think the Axe and G.Axe look pretty badass though.
