I have to say, Deathwish really wasn't that bad, and yes, Mhurron, his points are being proven by some of the responses. His post, in a nutshell, boiled down to insulting the FFXI community for being douchey and biased, which, don't get me wrong, is far from the right way to approach an argument, but yes, the people responding in the manner they are are only furthering his points.

They're essentially trolling, which I've never known to be considered anything but douchey....or hilarious if done right, this however isn't good trolling.

Whenever you post an opinion on a public forum you are going to get dissenting opinions. How you deal with this opposition will show how well you'll be received by that community. So going "I'm right and you're wrong so get out of my thread" is not going to be acceptable to most mature forum readers. It's the nature of the beast, if you state something publicly there will always be opposition. The only way to avoid this is to keep your mouth shut. If someone can not have a graceful disscussion about a subject without getting butt hurt then it is going to be nearly impossible for them to sway people to their line of thinking.

As for trolling, you don't seem to know what trolling is. People pointed out he made himself look like an idiot, which he did. Simple statements of fact are not trolling. That wall of text seems to be in the running for a trolling post, but I'm not going to waste my time trying to read that abortion to verify that. It's got the good trollish hook at the end though.

You get banned for excessive trolling after many warning, and then you come back with this? You really think you look good in that aspect? Really? Your doing nothing but showing how much of a child you are, and why most people don't want PvP in FFXI or FFXIV.
