What I really don't understand is how I can make a whole 180 right when I'm about to shoot and face the opposite direction of the mob and somehow hit him with an arrow. Are these homing arrows or something?

Trust me man I feel your pain... If you think about it in campaign they have the upper hand in battle bc they can just walk thru or over walls too... Us on the other hand have to play by the rules no questions asked about that one... So, oh well!

I'm going to go to Sea Serpent Grotto and start aggroing all the mobs by sight just to get payback for all the times I died trying to get/help people get NIN/SAM/UTSUSEMI.

I don't understand it either. Something about "aggro", and getting "hit" enough for my HP bar to reach 0 I guess? I think that's what they call it. "Dying" right? Yeah people say something about "Taru Mage's" being "Squishy". I don't get it either man. Really confusing.

Edit #2: I am stupid, just ignore this post, but I've had fun reading this xD. I died my first time on the way to Norg because I wasn't paying attention and hit enter twice while trying to type, ended up smacking a crab.

....uh, no they can't. Unless it's some sort of gate, in campaign at least Mobs generally follow the same movement rules as players. I've regularly kited entire divisions of grunts around walls and rocks while people picked them off one by one, using the obstacles and my superior pathing abilities to keep them all far away enough to not even swing at me. Players can also outsmart any mobs in this game very easily giving us a great advantage of our own. Sadly, it's one very few people take advantage of.

We do, when we have good reason. Call for Help is there to be used and often answered when other people are around. And I don't know if you've ever done campaign or not, but any single mob unfortunate enough to wander into a group of PCs will be torn limb from limb. The only ones who stand a chance in those situations are AoE spamming NM generals.

Dude, it takes a single sneak oil to get to Norg and the directions are quite literally "go right". There's nothing 'l337' about getting to Norg alive, but it is kind of sad when people can't do it. Hell, usually people trying to finish the scroll quests in norg switch to a lvl 1 job because it's so easy to get through the place to find the quest spots and then just bloodwarp back to the town to finish the quest. Asking how people die going to Norg is a legitimate question since it's really a very simple trip.

Ziero, I am liking you more and more lately.

But yes, the instructions for getting to Norg are literally "Enter Sea Serpent Grotto, apply Sneak, hug the right wall and move forward. Welcome to Norg!". The hardest part of getting to Norg is the Chocobo ride, and even that's painless if you can read simple maps.


Good christ, I'd have an easier time understanding a level thirty character getting themselves killed in the starter beastmen zones than trying to get to Norg.

I wish they would let us get skill ups again in campaign... That has become a big problem because you can level then you have to go back and get skill ups... Retarded!
