@ Firewind - white mage will get more JA's and spells to make it the best healing class im thinking... that is what the class is intended to be btw even though it hasn't seemed that way with TP burn pt's...

The first limit break was annoying, but the rest weren't all that bad. G2 was doable by any lone 75, especially now since they been nerfed and the next three were 100% soloable.

... yet G3 still remains a royal pain in the ass, imHo... specially if you can't find help. I attempted solo'n sections of that and recieved very limit'd success.

{edit 2.0}... I/LS was right on G3 and I got turned around from people correcting Rank4 mission, lolz... long weekend... my head hurtz.

Yea... Hopefully with Whm getting more healing abilities, I hope Rdm gets a better sword skill, at least an A-, and some melee skills. (Such as one if you have an Enspell Active, (Depending on which one), you get an ACC bonus, or Atk, or increased ATKS)

You and the SCHs are getting access to Convert, Refresh, Accession and Sublimation all at once. Have fun seeing the White Mage population of your server begging for scraps from even the most pathetic 4k/hour pick up groups

Don't forget that BLM/WHM will be the official new tele-whore job. Nobody wants lolRecall since Retrace and a few allied notes gets you everything but the choco ride. (Even without the fort nerf, it's rare that a nation unlocks a beastmen stronghold, the only good reason for Recall.)

I usually don't like to get involved, and the following question will probably be the limit of my involvment this time.

Why don't all of the Red Mages that want to melee level Blue Mage as well? It seems like a really nice DD at high level. You still get to solo most things that rdm does. Red Mage does not seem to have been designed at any time during it's life in FFXI to be a DD. With Blue you still get to use a sword, and you still get to use some great spells.

Why don't all of the Red Mages that want to melee level Blue Mage as well? It seems like a really nice DD at high level. You still get to solo most things that rdm does. Red Mage does not seem to have been designed at any time during it's life in FFXI to be a DD. With Blue you still get to use a sword, and you still get to use some great spells.

But then what would they have to complain about???

Exactly, finding help for Rank 4 was a chore. I remember teaming up with some unknown linkshell, since my own shell was busy, to help me do it. Somehow the linkshell disbanded the very next day LOL.

XD A lvl 25 Whm can solo it easy. But I did it on my 60 Rdm... lol. Got a few aggro, but got like 50k gil from the aggros. Haha. XD

Just need the map, and the guide to it. It was a pain when I did it the first time. The first person to help me got pissed, and just left half way through one of the dungeons. >.<

Matter of a fact it was G3, I hate not having ffxiclopedia in front of me.

I tried to go through Oztroja solo and got all the way to the door. There were two guys near the door fighting and I couldn't get them to open the door. When they finally did my speedboots wore off right as I got through the door... Unfortunately a True Sight NM saw me and walked through the wall just to kill me . I thought I was going to have to start all over because reraise had worn off but to my luck there was a PLD in there who raised me. The PLD was getting it too, but didn't have the password so he had a friend of his tracking it down. I knew the first two passwords so I gave them to him and then guessed the 3rd. If he hadn't been there to attract the mob's attention I'm pretty sure I would've died going for the crest lmao.

SE did say something about particular role-defining abilities possibly not crossing over.

While some RDMs could argue Covert as "role defining" looking over at SAM I'm going to have to disagree. SAM came up on my RNG's radar first for subjob levelling? Sekkanoki on my RNG? Fuck yes please, that's more slugwinder output for me, especially when you consider the two-shot attacks they're considering as well.

Covert I think is a fair candidate and could do a lot for SCH, WHM and BLM.

Would Haste or Refresh be role defining? Or Accession?

Well, lots of jobs have haste or another version of it, so no, I don't really see the big deal.

The nature of Accession's design now would still leave SCH at an advantage for its exclusive skills. 75RDM/37SCH would just have 2 strategem charges and longer recasts for them. 49 being the new SJ level, unless SE changes the scaling of strategems,it would still be 2 charges at a two minute recast. Nothing changes for strategem charges, but other jobs would get access to Accession, Manifestation and the early storm magic.

Refresh I actually do see as role-defining and it works differently in all its forms in the game. A different criteria for each job that has it. Given this, I think it would be kinda dirty to make it available to all. Then again, all the existing jobs with refresh abilities could see a new tier.

Corsair got its last rolls in the mid 60s, so SE has 34 levels to place an entirely new tier of rolls in. These could be upgraded versions of existing Rolls or Rolls with completely different traits attached to them. Actually. I'd find the latter to be more likely since another tier of each might be overpowering even for COR. I mean, c'mon what if I got an 11 on both tier's of Evokers Roll?

I think its the conditions Refresh, Ballad, Evoker's Roll and Diabolos use them that are going to keep them unique. People still aren't going to be able to sub BRD or SMN with refresh in mind. Ballad II sits squarely at 55 and so does the ability for SMNs to even use refresh from Diabolos, right?

SE could simply take Refresh and Evokers and place them in the 50s or just restrict access.

SE loves their new systems, there could be new conditions that come with extended subjob support. Then again I will point out that SE is reconsidering where Sekkanoki for SAM should lie.

G4...the riddles where you have to give people Kindred Seals? You must be thinking of G3 and the crests, which was like rank 4 only higher level. Which again, was completely soloable.

...help...with Rank 4? At most you need one 50+. At least, it's completely soloable in the 40s with the only 'hard' part being De Vyu's drop. Hell, people do parts of it as a naked lvl 1 so they don't lose Exp if they die. Though with the minimal exp loss and ample RR items (even as far back as the CoP days), it was easy enough to solo. Is dodging aggro really that tough of a task for most people O.o

Isn't Sekkanoki lvl 60? Or is the Wiki just horribly out of date.
