Yeah, when I finally get home this weekend and register for it, I'll be going Kenkonken. I figured it's the tougher of the two. Gjallarhorn is still nice though, and I would love to try getting one relatively soon.

So do you just apply at the same bonanza moogle in each city as with all the other bonanzas? And do you actually have to pick which prize your'e going for or is it like the other bonanzas, you win then you pick?

I picked Murgleis, and immediately wished I'd chosen Excalibur, but it doesn't matter because:

1) neither sword is nearly as impressive as I'd like,

2) the odds. C'mon, let's be serious.

Murgleis looks sexier and you can swap it in for convert to get at least the slightest bit of actual utility out of it, unlike Excalibur.

I think that fluke looks a bit silly. The tagline explains it as being useful for parrying, the least the sword could have is some type of parrying bonus for it.

I kind of wish Composure was introduced prior to Mythics (or Mythics after Composure). I'd loved to have seen what an "Enhances Composure" would look like.

But yeah, thinking about it, Murgleis would serve my RDM better (though not by much), as opposed to Excalibur serving my RDM and future PLD minimally.

Yeah, your pld will probably be better off spamming Atonement with a Joyeuse. You'll be doing less damage but getting more enmity.

For that matter your rdm would be better off spamming Death Blossom with Joyeuse. ... Over Murgleis >_>

Murg is a nice convert piece lol. And Excal is really nice for DPS, you can hit pretty damned hard with that thing. It's only failing is the extra damage proc is hate-free for some stupid reason. If that 25% HP conversion actually gained hate than Excal > Joyeuse no contest.
