If you have a num pad, the full keyboard is much more accessible than a PS2 controller. Well, that's what I've found over the years anyway.

I've found that having the two thumbsticks mapped to the camera and movement controls are much better than trying to do the same thing with the arrow keys and the numberpad...espc. the camera! Macros and chatting are things a KB is great for but to me nothing beats a controller for moving around and manual targeting.

All I know is that I've been playing it on the PS3 and it sucks because whenever I want to say something it takes 10 minutes to type it out with the in-game keyboard. My character is really easy to control with the PS3 controller but since this is such a socially-oriented game I think not having a keyboard is a huge detriment.

I also recommend a KB for chatting on all systems. I cheap USB one works great on the consoles...

There's nothing hard about using your fingers on the num pad and your thumb on the arrow keys, I find it's faster than a controller (which I also play with some times).

Manual targeting with TAB is fast too.

It also allows for faster access to every other short cut than a controller, including macros. But the compact keyboard setting, imo sucks a lot.

I prefer the compact setting actually. I can rest my fingers on WASD and the arrow keys, which lets me quickly slide over to Ctrl+Shift to jump up and down on my macro palettes pretty easily. It's worked out so far, and the not-compact setting just doesn't feel intuitive to me.

Well I thought I'd go exploring through the control options and I noticed a "chase cam" option. It seems like a pretty cool idea but I'm not sure if I like using it or not.
