sorry about the Rolanberry Fields error, you are correct. As a 73 thf Qoofim took me down to 50% surprisingly (I was /war, but whatever)
I'll have to say for the strength of some of these NMs, they do not drop anything greatly worthwhile...and the pet gear isn't comparable to Relic or anything augmented. /sigh

it’ all depends on your situation and I guess your jobs you play.
If you frequently use many jobs…it’s not worth wasting the inventory space (imo)
But as a career Bst, Smn and Pup, a lot of the new gear is appealing to me. Most of the Pet: gear comes in handy when I’m not personally joining in fights (which is often). Having Str/Acc/Atk on a back piece isn’t going to do much on my Bst when I fight NMs using only pets. Pet: Store TP +3 might be low…but certainly better then nothing. The Pet: -2% damage neck piece fits nicely with AMK helm’s pet:-10 damage. Pet: acc rings are out there too I believe.
This can also be ones alternative to relic. It’s much easier to kill these NM with crap drop rates 20 times a week oppose to waiting god knows how long to do Dynamis-xxxarea and being able to lot on the xxx-piece IF that piece even drops. Not to mention dynamis is so fricking long it’s ridiculous
This is wanting to have your cake and eat it too, SE would never introduce this set just to pair it with Moldavite. It is, however, an excellent alternative for those that have difficulty camping Mysticmaker Profblix and its high time they issued some kind of alternative. Not to mention this set is rather BLM solo friendly and fits the current trends of the game.

Which makes Moldavite, in my opinion, obsolete for enyone who gets the set. I want this set. Not sure I can say that many more ways. My point is they just added something that made the time people spent camping the Mysticmaker a waste. Add an NM that drops a Magic Acc, and change Mysticmaker to be more easily accessible, that would be fine with me. Or even introduce the 2nd earring with MAB and give the player base a choice to use 2x MAB or ACC/MAB.
What I am saying is there are ways they could have done this better and not throw it in the face of those who already spent time on what is potentially worthless.

It depends. Some people may prefer more MP from their earring for their set up. I would rather have my Locaquious Earring instead of +5 macc. I'd only use +5 macc on Kirin or something. But its not like I couldn't find MAcc some other place.

Mysticmaker, I'm finding more and more these days, is less of a hassle to camp than it use to be. Simply because the mad rush is over. Compared to other NMs, this respawn is not so terrible considering the item. Of course, I camped mine as a 75 THF so that made things much easier. But what you're proposing isn't really a justifyable reason just because these new earrings are out. By the time you get them due to the low drop rate, you could already have camped Mysticmaker and you're really just back at square one.
In case you weren't aware, the big complaint from people is that the drop %age is low. I'm sure that bandwagon will rear its ugly head pretty soon.

Boll Weevil: Jugner Forest [S] (K-9) drops Nasatya's Ring - Physical Damage Taken -1% set: HP & MP +50
Got the ring off the Dynast Beetle, but Boll Weevil being stingy as fuck.

Mysticmaker Profblix is pretty old news. Anybody who camped him 2 weeks ago, yeah, probably a waste of time. Anybody who has had their Moldavite Earring for years though certainly got their time's worth out of it. And unlike INT, MAB doesn't help all magic attacks; it only helps the damaging kinds.

Mysticmaker - at least prior to this update - is one of the most ritutally camped NMs in the game on any server. No one there now? Check back in a matter of 15 minutes. He's highly tracked by players. And considering this earring gets paired with Novio for a total of 12% MAB, its not like its going out of style anytime soon.
SE will always balance new gear against existing gear in some fashion. And before anyone goes pointing to the add-on rewards - there are better options, they just require a deeper time investment.
