Anyone else hating the new NMs?

Well…title kinda explains it all. I hate these new NMs.
So far I’ve camped 2 of them hardcore this weekend

Demodont (Bat) in Outer H. Ruins
Drops a cape with Pet:Store TP+3
0/12 on this one.

“Sac?????” (Chingoe) in Graus[s] (cant remember his name)
Drops the Shiva: Mag Acc feet
0/8 on this one

couple other randoms that i helped people with (no drops)

Most of those had TH3 also...my weekend was destroyed camping these guys with no luck L

The only upside is their pop windows/conditions are nothing extreme.

The only one I have fought is the scorpion in Western Altepa, can't remember it's name. Tried to duo it as Smn with a Bst LS buddy. It owned us easily. It spams some AoE stomp move that does like 150-300 damage and a heavy poison, 20 per tick maybe. Bst pet antlion and Garuda went down in about a minute.

It it respawns quickly and has an awesome item - shitty drop rate.
If it takes forever to respawn on a less conforming schedule than HNMs - better drop rate.
If you can track the spawn over 24 hours and know when to be there - shitty drop rate.
Lots of placeholders - shitty drop rate
Only a few placeholders - better drop rate.
Something nobody wants? - 100% drop rate
Something everyone wants? 100% drop rate, the drama can cover the rest.

lol @ Headlong belt btw. People are paying obscene gil for that thing when getting a swift belt, while sometimes proving an arduous task, is not all that bad (not to mention it's strictly better)

i think i saw someone bazaaring one for 7m. wasnt sure if that was a joke or not.

Oh well, guess i'm just venting because my wish list keeps growing...it's suppose to get smaller as time goes on

I watched group aftere group of people in Volbow beating the shyt out of Tegmine this weekend. I also saw a Cockatrice named ... oh what was it.... Angry Jonny or something... .just stand around and stare at the rock wall with this stupid look on its face as if to say "Derrrrrrrrrrrrrrr."

I thought it was funny on windsday tho when the air elemental would aggro people fighting Tegmine. It was kinda like Teg was saying "awww Yah Boyz, eye gawtz my posse on the 911 beyach" ... lol funny how there's alot of death around there.

NFI what they drop. If it costs 7mil, they can svck etTTT!~!!11

Not sure if anyone cares (or if it's already posted somewhere) but this guy is soloable by a Smn/nin or Pup/nin.

i havent seen one ; ;. Been looking too. Espically sinces there's now a ton of 'Pet: ???' pieces.

I've just basically started wiki-ing areas and scrolling down the NM section. Whichever looks new i check them out. A super list would be nice.

Dispite my horrible luck with drops i'm actually quite happy SE put a lot more 'random' NMs in. More fun for my Bst/Smn/Pup!!

Couple other NMs i just recently tried
helped kill a NM Scoprion named Saga (i think) in Attowa Chasm. 2 Bsts were handling it well, i showed up on pup to speed up the kill.

Later, a friend and i were lvling Sch/Bst (lvl 9) and saw Deapod (crab) in West Sar. Easily duo'd by 2 lvl 9s. Drops a shield with +5mp :/. no drop though (i think i have -th4)

I killed the following so far:

Qoofim: G-6 Qufim Island, drops a lvl40 MP+1 while healing earring (1/1)
Chonchon: F-9 Meriptaud Mountains, drops a lvl44 belt, Haste +3%, Acc +3 (0/2)
Blighting Brand: Spinal-structure in Sauromage Champaign, drops a lvl60 earring with MAB +5, MACC +5) when paired with earring from NM in Battalia Downs (0/1)

That's all I've seen so far. Someone should really start a list...

I didn't realize Qoofim was new. I ran into him the other night and got my ass handed to me pretty quick. He was a bit much for a level 41 squishy mage, but at least I made an attempt

The other NM, Eldritch Edge, is in Rolanberry Fields.

I'm a little disappointed that SE made this a set. If you wear these two earrings, Moldavite is useless. They could have just introduced one earring with Macc and left it at that.

This is wanting to have your cake and eat it too, SE would never introduce this set just to pair it with Moldavite. It is, however, an excellent alternative for those that have difficulty camping Mysticmaker Profblix and its high time they issued some kind of alternative. Not to mention this set is rather BLM solo friendly and fits the current trends of the game.
