nono you misunderstood, if its a new system and it is repaired, its repaired with the new hardware,

it all is based on the model version of the system, there are about 3-4 motherboards that are used on the 360 right now, depending on when you bought it, and if it has been repaired or not. But if you just bought a system oh lets say.... a week ago, and then had to send it in (just go with me, its an example -.-) then when they repair it, it will be with the newest board, not an old one.

MS pretty much has it with this board it seems, so its a matter of phasing out the old ones, and the 360 will finally be decent reliability wise.

Ok. I thought you said something else lol.

I myself hate the 360(There are a few good tittles on it (Last Remnant, Halo lol)), but I prefer the PS3. More Durable, and lasts longer than the 360. Also, MS had way too many bugs in their systems when both first came out.

I don't want to debate the issue but there are different results for different people. I've never had any issues with all 3 of my 360's and one is a release day unit (knocks on wood) but 2 of my PS3's went up in smoke.

I agree with you, because I have heard many stories ;p but like TGM, I have not had any problems with my 360, I had one before my current one (but that does not count... I screwed that one up ;p)

But yeah everyone has their different experiences, I have heard some crazy things about the Wii as well, and again there, I have had no problems.

But I do agree about the game selection.... even games like Last Remnant, I want on PC instead, because it does not have that horrible lag in battles like the 360 version does.

Meh. The lag only happens during the "Getting ready for special attack" phase for me. No real issue in it IMO.

Yea, Ive heard of the horrible stories as well. My friends cracked right down the center during a thunder storm, and another actually blew up XD My bro has heard some pretty bad ones too (He worked in Toys R Us for a few years)

The Xbox 360 itself does not get hot. It actually runs fairly cooly, it's just loud when running from a disc. However, you now have the option to install any game to your hard drive so the system runs quieter, loads faster, and doesn't put as much wear and tear on itself.

The only thing that generates real heat is the power adapter. That is what you HAVE TO have in an open, flat area.

Most of the arguments made against the Xbox 360 are outdated at this point. It's like people that complain that a PS3 is too expensive (it hasn't been for over a year).

I think that you can really run the game on either at this point. If you have a nice large HD TV, then sitting on your couch might be more comfortable for extended periods of time and be a better experience with a good home theatre set up. Regardless, you can get a gamepad for the PC if that's how you want to roll.

I have the game on my PC, but if I stick with it I'll probably move to my Xbox for the comfort factor alone. I'm still new to FFXI though and am struggling getting started, but that's another topic altogether.
