With Outpost warps, I rarely ever take a Tele taxi unless I'm being super lazy(except for Vahzl cause Bastok sucks), and then it really just comes down to how lazy I am vs. how cheap I am with wasting gil. They were more popular 2 years ago cause it literally came down to either A) getting a tele taxi or B) riding a chocobo/airship or a combination of the 2 to get anywhere you didn't outlevel cause the old outpost warp system was horrible

I don't know how people can say make money off of tele taxi'ing. Whenever I tried there were too many damn bots doing it. On rare occasions I could earn a little chump change but there was no way I could make a decent living off of it.

Have you tried it in the past month or two? It's only very recently that they seem to have done something serious about telebots.

Word on the street is that S-E has very recently threatened legal action against the guys who produce and sell these bots. Allegedly, Dragon's Aery was eerily empty the day after.

Only the ones that people pay for.

There are plenty of free bots floating around out there, that linkshells make for their own purposes and for no one else's use. I doubt SE is going to go after those because no one is making profit off of them and many of them are not detectable.

Willing to bet botting/claiming went on as if there was no change on Hades.

Knowing Hades, they prolly kept botting with the SAME bot after this, got banned and bought new accounts + bots.

I know at least two linkshells that never bought a bot, but had their own. And the SE action is VERY new. Like a few weeks, at most, so bannings probably haven't taken place for that just yet.

But yeah, people get banned and just buy new accounts now, because so many people quit and sell.

One particularly notable bot in Upper Jeuno on Fairy ran for months, then disappeared. Then another one showed up in the same location, with the same MO (FFXIAH history of suddenly buying all six tele scrolls and selling everything else), only with a link pearl on. It disappeared nearly two months ago and hasn't been replaced.

The funny part is the near panic people get into when the bots disappear. And they don't get replaced by players (not quickly, anyhow), because the WHM players had already given up on teleporting people. I will try to take someone when I leave WG or Jeuno, or when the shout reaches 5k, but I don't go out of my way otherwise.

This is so true. I never teleported anyone, mostly because at that point, I'd stopped leaving my HP in Whitegate in favor of Sandy, and if you're only going to pay me a measly 1k to port you, that means I'm really only getting about 700g for my time after I've paid the dude to send me back to Whitegate, and that's just not worth my trouble.

No, I haven't. I haven't been in game for 4-5 months now. My poor little taru calls to me sometimes but I know I'll get sucked back into endgame and end up hating playing again so I uninstalled. lol

I haven't been able to bring myself to uninstall yet. It will probably stay on my computer until I either have to reformat it, or until I get a new one.

This is so true. Well, there is the little "bug" where you can do the teleport in front of your MH and run inside at 75%, but that means you have to get people to come to you.

Plus, there's always the small chance that one day SE will ban you a year later when they get a hair up their ass and decide to do something about it, even though it really doesn't hurt anything, and the bots just set their HP anyhow. (just like MMM marble farming didn't really hurt anything because all you can buy with marbles is maze runes and toys)
