Wow... RMTS are getting more desperate each day. But why would they change your sub and try to change your characters server?

My LS friends had an almost hacking on their characters, and a few of them got the spam from the gimchris and the gnnmalis chars...

RMTS are getting REALLY desperate, or they have just found a way to hack accounts easily...

When you do that the Playonline software saves the password "encrypted" to your hard disk, doesn't it? I think it would be very vulnerable at that point.

Two people I know who were recently hacked logged into their accounts to find that they had been stripped of all valuable possessions, deleveled to 74 or 73 and standing in Western Altepa Desert. No idea what they had been using the characters for...

SE will probably need to delay server transfers from 3 days up to a week after the players has made a transfer request.

Also needs to start banning gil buyers in mass. They are the ones sponsoring RMT activities.

I totally agree with that.

Here's a related question: Why do some players sell often completely useless items for 99,999,999 gil (or whatever the limit is) in their bazaar? The first time I saw that I wondered if that's how the gil purchases were done.. gil buyer puts a silly item nobody wants in his bazaar for an equally ridiculous price, the gil seller comes by and purchases the item, and SE ignores the whole thing because it was a bazaar transaction. Is that what happens?

It's either to show off (typically with Love Chocolate) or to mean "/tell to me with an offer". It's annoying as hell if you're actually looking for stuff to buy, and someone has a 99,999,999 Love Chocolate in their bazaar. "OOH LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME SOMEONE GAVE ME CHOKLITZ I ROOL"

I only do it so I don't sell my gear I have for a job that I am leveling. Like if I have a piece of equip that I am waiting to use and it will be a few days before I can equip it, I will do it so I do not sell it by accident.

I would bazaar items to lock them out of gear swaps ... but since getting the security token, I can just put them in my satchel where they're on-hand but not swappable.

When I logged back on to my character, they had Iron ram stuff in my bazaar for 99999999. It was some weird stuff.

this sounds more like someone taking your stuff, then messing with you, more then RMT

Thats what RMT do when they hack your account, they take your stuff. FFXI should track all major trades, and all major bazaar transactions as well as delivery box usage.

That will help them find out who is RMT and what not. But it will take a lot of time to do, and money.

yeah but RMT does not buy Rare/EX gear with points and put it in your bazzar for 9,999,999 nor do they delevel you 1-2 levels and leave you in the middle of the desert

like I said, it sounds more like someone was messing with him.

The takeing of his stuff, is just an after thought, after screwing with his stuff.

They raped my conquest points, allied notes and imperial standing and sold it. There was two items in my bazaar.

I am in the process of getting my character rolled back. It should take a week or so.
