Tried to log on today and my saved password was incorrect. I just checked ffxiah.com and saw that someone is using my AN to buy up crap and sell it on the ah. Also my spiked finger gauntlets sold.

My real concern is my CC. I need to know what my next step is to cancel my account so that I do not get billed anymore and my information is out there.

Nope. I never had any really close friends where I gave out any info. I use Avast!, Firefox with ad block no script. The only thing that was visited that was kinda suspect was Facebook when my wife didn't have her computer.

They most likely changed your CC info to make it more difficult for you to get your account returned to you.

Did you always use the virtual keyboard feature to log into your account, or were you bypassing that and typing it in? I usually type mine in, but maybe I should start taking the extra time to use the virtual keyboard if it's safer.

I was using the V-Keyboard before I got the token...I guess with the new string of hijackings going on, that I'd better start using it again.

I've never typed my SE password, and haven't typed any POL password since they implemented the virtual keyboard.

But still I'm feeling like reinstalling the OS just to be sure. <_<; And gonna have to use my Torrent rig for internet surfing so I can keep my main comp as far from harmful sites as possible.

Though I wanted to wait till I was installing Windows 7.

I canceled my CC before they could do anything else to it. I have gotten a new password and my char is partially stripped. They managed to rape my 300k allied notes to 36k and also all of my conquest points.

I never typed in my password, it was just saved and logged on automatically.

They canceled two of my mules, changed my chat filters, dropped my ls and changed my sub to nin. Very strange. They also tried to transfer me but my cc was canceled before it could go through.

I just talked with them and I am in the process of recovering my account. I will let you guys know how it goes in about a week when I get it back.

I tried to call for tech support 3 years ago and I was on hold for 1:30 each time. I was on hold for only about 10 minutes before I was able to talk with someone this time. I have called 3 times so far and probably spent only an hour on the phone.

Thats good to hear. The longest I was usually on hold was about 35-45 mins. Last time I called was when I realized I put in the wrong zip code for my security token (Damn you UPS Box!), and I was on hold maybe 25 mins.

If you haven't heard anything about it, ask about character rollback. That's probably what they're doing, but just to be sure. You can have your character rolled back to before it was screwed up; probably a few lost items, but at least you can reearn them (for example, ra/ex non-repeatables, although I think SE fixed most of them anyway)

It will start as soon as I get the photo ID and form they sent filled out and sent back to them.

When you do that the Playonline software saves the password "encrypted" to your hard disk, doesn't it? I think it would be very vulnerable at that point.
