  • password issues...

Ok well... i just bought the FFXI Vanadiel collection. I haven't played in over 2 or 3 years, used to play on my ps2 back in the day. I still have all my info and well... for some reason it's saying my password is incorrect... What are the chances someone has hacked into my account..Is there anything I can do without waiting for monday to come around... I'm really kind of pissed off about it atm. Oh and hi haha this is my first post!

By this time your account details may be erased from the server, but I believe there is a "Return to Vana'diel" thing going on at the moment that can get you back in if you have your details still. I'm sure someone else will go into more depth 'cause I can't load any websites at work.

Well the thing is my brother just started playing again too.. and he hasn't played for about the same amount of time and he got into his account fine. I rechecked all my info over and over and over and it's all correct just says incorrect password or id. though i forget what i did but it said my id is already in use, so my account must still be in the database

              Re: password issues...

They changed the rules on account passwords about 2 years ago, forcing them to meet specific security requirements, such as length and variety of characters in the password. If your account was inactive when that change happened, you have to have customer service change your password to one that fits the requirements. They gave about 3 months warning that you had to do it or lose the ability to log in without calling customer service.
