Punctuation and I always end up fighting about stuff. So I put that one on my ignore list.

Having said that, this game has a steep learning curve but it's not so bad that your best friend GOGGLE cannot find a link for any questions/guides/tweaks/etc you might have.

I don't know, FFXIclopedia might replace Google as your best friend on XI. But there are a bunch of nice places out there.

Back when we had that guy with the bought account in our linkshell, we were discussing teleports and he had all the teleports but didn't know where any of zoned to. Around that time I had a n00b moment and I said "LOL I just realized I don't have teleport-yhoat!" Which gave a bunch of "WTF You're level 75! How could you not have it nub?" The truth was I forgot about it. At the time I went through getting most of the teles I wasn't able to go through the higher zones by myself (Had no gil influx for sneak/invisible oils lol and no tolerance for the maze jungles) and after I thought about it I can't remember a party ever wanting or needing to teleport-yhoat me lol. I responded "If you guys hadn't taken me to Teleport-Altep forever ago, I probably wouldn't have gotten that one until I actually needed to. >_>."

That just goes to show you that even us older players have n00b moments and nobody will let you forget it either.

I kinda of (hell...I did) ran from anyone on the outside, especially when I got the prompt <ThatotherPCwithabigsword> is examining you.' Yeah...I ran all the way back to the blessed gates of San d'Oria.

You're aware that they can't hurt you, right? There's no PvP in this game. I mean, well, there sort of is, but it's stupid and like four people do it, so there really actually isn't. So no need to run away from higher level players.

Also, FFXIClopedia.org is your friend for that sort of miscellaneous questions. It may get things wrong from time to time but in general it has most of what you'd want to know in terms of general game information.
