Certain items from certain NMs should be 100% drop and Rare/EX once they are lotted on and won.
              Examples of such.
              Valkrum Emperor
              Leaping Lizzy

Like they did with the Thief's Knife, they should do something similar like that as well. I mean these should be common enemies that everyone has experience fighting and I shouldn't have to camp them after playing x number of years of this.

Seriously I forgot how many years ago ffxi started... but I was there from the start of NA. uhhh how many years has it been? 5? 6? 7?

This October will be 6 years for the full NA release.

I have no idea where the Shadow Lord statue came into this, but I approve.

Also, it has made me pretty happy. So, Square Enix, I suppose the lesson is, if you want to make your customers happy, give them free statues?

Wow Cruz, seriously never thought people could reach your level of retardedness........

On topic: I'm pretty happy with the game myself, travel gets easier the more you advance in the game, but its only natural that they force you to run around and get to know the place before you are allowed to just warp around and stuff.

As far as NM drop rates is concerned, cant complain too much, im 1/1 on both VE and LL so..........*ducks as someone tosses a shoe* yeah dont hate me please, I have yet to get Okotes or S.Kyahan to drop for me T_T

                      Repatriation

Now that there are books right outside the three main exits to Jeuno. The "requirement" is do enough FoV pages to get 50 tabs. I've already used this with a lowbie mule. I fought enough FoV to get 50 tabs, then went from Bastok to Windurst (via the ferry) to get the W. Saruta OP, setting home point all along the way. Once the supplies were delivered, a walk across the zone and 50 tabs, and back home. At level 1. (Brag: level 1, no oils, no powers, no aggro.)

And I don't use the airship much because my "main" PS2 has had file corruption problems with the Jeuno -> 3 nations ferries, even after I did verify/repair once, not to mention my getting used to teleports from WHM being my first main job.

(Carrying around many Teleport-X items taking inventory space is not what I call a solution unless you are outside town.)
Everyone should get BLM to at least 17, and WHM to at least 36. Of course at that point the people who don't understand city fame will fall to pieces and whine about the cost of the scrolls on AH. But as a Windurstan without Valkurm OP, I can understand what a pain it is to get somewhere when you are playing a job other than BLM or WHM, and have no outpost to get there. (Also, don't set your HP in Whitegate if you're playing in conquest areas. Is 300 gil really that important?

                      - Remove lottery spawn NMs and make them triggerable instead. Or increase their drop rate after a certain period of time has passed since their introduction to the game (Ra/Ex item NMs only)
At least improve the drop rate to 100% for rare/ex items. I mean, sheesh, even moldy earring was a pain and I only waited a little over 4 hours total for that, through three pops.

I know the "more drops, more gil" has been mentioned and debunked already, but how about more/better drops for higher level monsters of the same type? For instance, they don't need to make CN crawlers drop silk thread 100%, but there's no point in farming anything but the baby crawlers if the drops aren't overall any better from the higher level crawlers.

I like the idea someone had about city battles. Basically lowbie-Besieged. The main problem is what to do to keep the 75s from one-shotting everything before the lowbies got a swing in. Maybe a level cap (like 10 or 20 or so) when you get "tags". It would also be funny if every now and then the mobs would chase around un-tagged lowbies without actually attacking them.

Thanks. Since I started the game, there is nothing for low levels to do (As in events that are actually part of the story line, not the "Go out and kill the samurai Armor reacking havoc upon the players" events.) ALL games are like this though with all events. The level cap would be a better idea than having higher lvl monsters come into the area and one shot all lowbies so the higher lvls don't one shot all the low lvl monsters XD

And the level cap thing. (Thanks for reminding me.) They need to change level cap so it does not gimp your gear. At level 30 you get Dodge Earrings (+3 EVA), and when you sync with them to level 14, they should be equivalent to the silver Earring (+2 Eva -2 ATK.), but they are not, instead, its as if you don't have anything there. Also they need to get rid of the negitive effects you get from the gear... I've seen mages come back with 1 Hp (max) after being raised. Funny to see, but not so fun for the mage.

We have a billion fucking ways to warp (without even having to shout) or move faster. Refining old content to be less stupid, and continuing to add new, quality content is far more important. If you want to talk about pointless timesinks, bring up 15 minute waiting times between pop NMs such as Hakutaku where you usually bring half an alliance worth of people that need the hat.

I do agree that lottery spawning is pretty lame and having a shitty drop rate on top of being lottery spawn is just downright vexing though.
Armando, you should stop hanging out with BBQ. His "Miss the point entirely and read just what I want to read from a post" bad habit is rubbing off on you hard.

In all seriousness, I'm amazed you log in. If people are a problem for you, there's a plethora of RPGs out there that don't require other people at all. Go play those, MMOs are about playing cooperatively to accomplish goals. Its never going to be perfect so long as other people are involved, but some of us appreciate being surprised by the skills of other players from time to time.

You know, rather than just assume everyone but you sucks at the game.
Or, it could be that last night I did:
                                /sea 15-40 WAR
                                /sea 15-40 PLD
                                /sea 15-40 NIN
several times. And, found none seeking again each time.

I mean, seeing no tank jobs with flag up night after night may be a good reason for wanting NPC tanks, don't you think? (Heck I even tossed in the "no need for amazing AI" bit to indicate these NPCs are not supposed to outperform human players, but go right ahead and believe I want robots to replace people while you are at it.)

The only thing I'll assume is that you intend to paint me as some sort of villain for undecipherable reasons. For everyone else, I'll give him or her a chance in party to prove his or her worth.

K.O. penalty have already been nerfed indirectly. SE made Raise (1) return far more exp than before, and recently lowered the MP costs of Raise II and III to Raise (1), making it that much easier to restore more of the exp lost.

In exp, full-party situations, K.O. should be a relatively rare event if the the party is set up well and working together. If you constantly seeing people go down shortly after level up, something is wrong, and the exp penalty is your last worry.
