Quick question about the token (for those who have it)

Okay so mine finally came in and I was going insane just now because it wouldn't let me log in until I clicked the option to use the one-time password.

Now, I could have sworn it said when I registered the damn thing I had to actually link the token to my POL 1st (meaning I only have to use the token on the website, not FFXI) but apparently this was not the case as I just discovered...


Can I deactivate the token at any time and still use my satchel? I thought I saw a clause that said I have to keep it registered... I like this thing, but I don't want to have to use it every damn time nor keep ordering new ones when the batteries die out.

If your POL account is already linked to an SE account when you link the token to the SE account, then you'll need the token to log into that POL account.

You can deactivate the token, but a deactivated token can't be reactivated (I guess they were concerned about reverse engineering or theft or something) and you'd have to order a new one for any future mules to get Mog Satchels, or to get the security benefit of the token again in the future.

Ya I wish they showed this part to us, but I figured it out.

On the log on screen, choose your name and hit settings. There is a new field on there at the bottom. Put in your Square Enix ID and choose "Use" under one time password.
