Security token ...question.

So when i registered my playonline viewer account I had to choose Wyoming because...I had to...

IM originally from Argentina (South America) but it doesn't show up in my account of course because I didnt have the option to choose I was from there...


Anyways, if I do buy a security token...am I in any risk of having problems with my account? I been playing for 3 months now so I know its billing me correctly and all...

If you have someone in the US (or Canada) who is willing to send you the token then you shouldn't have any problems with your SE/POL account.

Yep, it's a little keychain kinda thing and SE wont send it to Argentina (or in my case Mexico) so need someone there to recieve it and then forward it to your country.

(You can still pay for it with the same payment method you use for XI so no problems there)

Argentina (and most South American countries) is unfortunately not in the list of countries you can get the token sent to (but there are African countries in the list, WTF). It asks you for a shipping address when you order it, it doesn't just automatically use the address on your PlayOnline account. Countries they will ship to are (so you can find a friend in one of those countries to receive and mail it to you):

No fellow LS members, or friends on this forum? I could handle it for a few people, at the cost of shipping it to you, or possibly in exchange for also getting me a token (don't know if multiple tokens can be requested at once yet).

To make it worse...Im pretty sure the horrible Customs will hold the stupid token if I try to get it delivered to me "sigh"

FedEx (maybe UPS too) is pretty good at dealing with customs, so I'd suggest have it sent to you through them. It'll just be a bit more expensive...



Ok you'll probably pay FedEx like 5 times the cost of the token, but they are the closest to hassle-free you can get outside the US. That is why I'm going to order 3 tokens if I can and maybe some other stuff to make the shipment worth it.

If customs in Argentina are as bad as customs in the UK you will probably have to pay twice the cost of the token just to get it through customs. I know I had an extra £20 (about 30 US dollars) added on to the price of my copy of Pokemon Platinum import because customs got their hands on it and demanded I pay import tax on it. Been about two weeks since I sent them my money and they still haven't released my game.

I have friends in Mexico, Jamaica and Puerto Rico who are all having the same problems with their tokens. I think you may have to find some way to get the item sent to a an address from one of the countries listen and then have the item forwarded to you from there.

More secure. If your computer already has the keyloggers and other spyware for getting your regular password, whats to stop it from reading a "downloaded security token"?
