Personally, I prefer armor with memories over just having the most powerful stuff. A pair of pants which were the first of their type to be sold on my server's AH; (signed) gifts from friends; stuff earned through hard fights (or claims); and so on.

I'd rather have a set of average armor, with every piece signed by a different friend, than the most powerful piece of pixels and arbitrary numbers.

I have signed Aristocrat's coat. I want my friend to sign at least one HQ staff for me, he can trade me for one of my unsigned ones. Most of my gear anymore is R/E, though, and therefore unsignable. My cursed dalm was made by the same person who made my Aristocrat's coat, so at least I have one body piece from her that has her name on it, and I'll always remember watching her craft the cursed dalmy.

For town gear, hell yeah, anything signed I will wear, and never get rid of. (No wonder inventory sucks so much!) But actually out doing stuff, I'd rather have the best I can get than something sentimental.

Even after all of these years of playing, my gear is still at best "average". Much of it is rare/ex and very little of it is HQ. I'd much rather have a person in average gear who pays attention and tries their best than a person with uber gear that watches tv while playing and does the minimum required.

Haha, the only thing I know about gear so far is that the baron set is sexy looking. So thats about as much as I can hope for atm....

Can't agree with you enough. IMO, I could give a damn what gear someone has (assuming it's not ridiciulous) as long as they do what they're told and play their job right. So amazing how many times I've seen a paladin with standard gear tank better than aegis paladins.

Anyways, all that fuss over trying to make a base/idle/defensive/Convert set only to find out later (much, much later <_<; ) that the site still has a few bugs to work out before I can use it for what I want to use it for.
