Re: Does your LS use this point system? *Rant Thread*
You're not an "endgame is serious business" type, you've always struck me as someone who just enjoys the game and helping out. I was thinking more to the effect of a KI-tard, super-leet type that makes all these rules to protect themselves and not in the best interests of your members. I've met quite a few in my experience. particularly on Titan. When they're not in a power position, they're the drama whores that vilify the leadership when they don't attend enough and, thus, never have enough points to bid on anything.
Leadership in these types of games isn't pursued for the outright joy of being a leader, but either by necessity or an ulterior motive. Natural leaders are few and far between and I know I'm just one person that will do it out of necessity. Natural and necessity leaders will understand one thing the ulterior motive leader never will, though, and that's group morale. The Ulterior Motive leader enjoys leading because of the power and the ability to make rules that protect their own interests. Without the power, again, they're just another queeny lootwhore.
The LS leaders the OP is describing obviously fall into the Ulterior Motive category. They're not making decisions in the interest of group morale or looking out for the linkshell's best interest, merely their own. The can clearly give up the time needed to have "committed" status all the time. Those that can't obtain such a status due to work or school are merely tools to help them obtain more equipment.
I would never tag you as one of these kinds of people, TGM, I think I know you well enough to say you're the furthest thing from a selfish person.
