Might be olde but just came across this while looking for some anime...

Kind big to be just a cutscene zone ?

What does this vid have to do with the anime that pops up at around 5 minutes? Nada. Uploaders sometimes hide their videos behind these unrelated clips in order to prevent their vids to be taken down on sight by the website owners.

In any case... cool looking zone.

Half a gil says you poke atomos in a funny place to go into this zone.

That's gotta be the Walk of Echos, WotG's endgame area. Or at least one part of it? I mean, the bit we see is inside atomos and has that orange sky... but otherwise the surroundings seem to look the same.


EDIT: Okay finished watching it, yes that's without a doubt the Walk of Echos, it's just not fully rendered for some reason.

Whatever is going on, it appears to be some sort of level explorer program. Notice the Japanese menus on the window, and the video poster is apparently Japanese too. It's definitely inside Atomos, and since this is just some dat explorer, there's no reason why you couldn't select Cait Sith to walk around as.

The walking on air is interesting, I guess there's always a floor and walls just keep you from getting over to it.

As for the anime, it seems to be some generic "supernatural stuff going on around the school and lots of fights and tits too" anime. Boooring.

It looks like they're using an external program to go through the map data. But yeah, that's definitely the map area from the first mission cutscene. Just not quite rendered properly.

The architecture there is rather reminiscent of Castle Zvahl, though; I wonder if there's some significance to that.

Besides a couple of random rocky outcrops and both using dark stones I don't see much resemblance to Castle Zvahl. The architecture's different and so is the material the place is made out of.

The music is pretty much inconsequential, assuming it was part of the capture, the utilities for viewing game data can't handle ToAU/WotG bgws so the use of core music is to be expected.

And there were aspects of the design of the buildings there that struck me as similar to how the Beastmen Confederate did things. Especially the torches. *shrug*

Actually, you can view this zone and run around in it if you download the EWHModel viewer thing (and you can view every other zone). I don't notice any music, so chances are they put it over the top when editing the video.

<_< it's the Walk of Echos people. Don't forget the CoP team who's making this also made Chrono Trigger long, long ago. If you can't see the influences from that you're either extremely Thick or never played CT.
