    Saw this over at BG....

    But rather than link to them here's the source;

JPButton How To Merit in MMM: 電撃Playstation

In addition to the massive interview with the developers, the good people of the Lightning Brigade posted a little bit about their experiences with Moblin Maze Mongers. One of the things they tested was how to max out the exp you get at the end of a run. In one run, they managed to get nearly 10k just from the box. 10k times 6 runs and you have the makings of a quick way to get your merits without having to compete with people over camps. Here is how they maxed out their exp:
    1) A special combinations of runes: 010, 018, 017, 014, 003, 108, and 102. They say 108 helps increase the exp you get from the box at the end of a run. The particular monsters used also help increase the exp per run.
    2) Include a COR in the party
    3) Using an exp bonus ring. For the exp shown in the picture, they were using an Anniversary Ring. Combining the exp from the box and the monsters in the run, they could get around 12000 exp total. Using an Empress Band could get you around 10k total.
Cool beans! ^^ also, it seems Shantotto is the current favorite character in Dissidia! :3

EDIT: OK I see how this works now...

Rune 003: Lures Birds (quite probably Colibri)
    Rune 010: Lures Demons
Rune 014: Tiny Warrior (this + demons = imps!)
    Rune 017: Supreme Might
    Rune 018: Might ( 17 + 18 = high level imps! Genius!)
Rune 102: Trial by Numbers (Lots of mobs :3 and extra marbles/xp)
Rune 108: Doubles the EXP from the Hordebox!

That is a really cool system. No need to worry about camps when you can choose the prey yourself. ^.^`

      Interesting.

You have to defeat them all in 30 min though which makes it somewhat stressful I'd imagine, unless you're someone from BG with tons of 1337 gear and extra professional super gamers.

It's an innovative idea to say the least though I can see it being highly impractical for parties not geared up to do a burn

It'll be interesting to see what kind of sets can be made for lower lvl groups. I've got a static 50 to think about. ^.^

Utilizing the puny defenses of higher leveled imps to give you an EXP advantage?

. . . Could someone please tell me why it took the JP playerbase to tell us that?

Too bad I'll never see anyone interested in doing MMM unless they can kill off level 1 mobs...

No idea, I did a synced BST duo once, just to see ... it wasn't great, but it was interesting. I'll probably hold off on trying to solo until I get Leave, though.

                  Re: Meriting in MMM

I've done quite a bit of MMM (my group has gotten 5 Koggelmander, 2 Polearm and 1 Dagger off the NMs) and on farming runs unsynced, we pull about 2k exp and finish them in about 10 min each.

We still have only seen one Rune 108 that has dropped (and talk about unlucky, one of the members exited us all before it dropped -.-), it would be nice to figure out how to increase the drop rate of some of these runes. We have done everything from buffing the NMs, going with 8 runes in our maze, getting the Titles up to 500 marbles (yes, we saw later after we started testing it that SE had not yet implemented anything with them) and we are still about 1/10 for NM runs on average for anything to drop. Regular "Kill All" mazes we are more like 1/15 (syncing does not seem to effect at all the drop rate or type of runes.)

This does look like an interesting concept, I may see if my group wishes to try it.

Also, Nuriko, were you level synced to do the run? They will still be anywhere from DC-T and most of the time I've seen people run out of time when trying to Solo/Duo. Since I recieved my Peon rune though, I like to do the Tiny Warrior/Demon/Peon and burn through with my Mnk/Dnc. Nets you a bit of exp (EP Squishy Imps) and lets you farm solo.

Has anyone heard anything on the Armor portion of MMM? My group has been doing this since it came out, racking up well over 4k+ marbles and we still haven't seen any Armor. Yet I saw a JP with the Mamool Ja Earring running around the other day. Are they coming from the Synthing Vouchers? Or are they just even more rare than the weapons?

Yes, we were level synced for that duo run, but we had plenty of time. The BIG problem came at the end, when we received a Peon rune and I lotted it, then D/Ced.

Take those 500 marbles and buy Rune 94.

I've had a Rune 094 since the 2nd week MMM was out. It's still flakey, the drop rates are horrible.
