I understood it the first time. The Virtue weapons point to the jobs that should be equipping the torques, even if the jobs dont exactly match up with them optimally. Thus the weapons had a purpose and use - they were the hint if this existing theory holds.

The torques could be considered what "bound" the virtue while the sin or "jailer" in this case kept it locked down during the fight. With AV being the embodiment of all virtue, to weaken him, you lock away his two hours with your job becoming the sin by "locking" away the virtue when you put on the torque and respond to his two hours with the corresponding job.

When I referenced Temperance Axe, I was simply pointing out it made no sense for RNG, so its meaning had to be something else. BST and RNG get it, WAR don't. We were looking at utility more than we were looking at the weapons as a hint.

Well, I can say that interest in my linkshell has been piqued. We have 5 JoL popsets sitting on a guy who hardly plays (but whose account was being used by someone else in the ls, and then he decided to change his password like a dick, oh yeah fun times) but we are doing JoL Saturday I believe.

There are now a good number of people in the linkshell who think that we should at least try once or twice, if for no other reason than to say we did it. Of course, whether or not we do is entirely up to Stan, and if he doesn't want to, we won't.

I'll keep you all posted if we have any new developments.

. . . Murphie has a point, though: dragging his name in to this when he was not even previously involved in the discussion is the only thing that's "pointless" around here.

However, 'kitten's whole point of, "ohey, if discussion never gets around and it's all just assumed by everybody to not work, nobody is ever going to try it anyway" still stands. But he had no need to start the whole "in before" nonsense, but it wasn't like Sabaron was any better for bringing BG in to this . . .
