Hope against Hope

I know this is a long shot, but i'm hoping against hope here.

I'm done with ffxi, sadly to say, but hey, i got college and what not. I'd love nothing more than to simply give my friend my character. I'm already planning to give all my items, but he can sure use me as a mule.

So.... can i somehow give him my character? Transfer my one character on my account to his account? I highly doubt it... but hey, it's a hope against hope.

That would be a question for Customer Service. I'm sure that they can do it, whether or not they will do it is the inherent problem.

"Giving" someone a character would facilitate selling them by the very fact that SE cannot monitor private transactions between two people.

Therefore....

just keep you character... college is no excused to give your character away...
You might want to play FFXI after getting out of college...

This comes up from time to time with families who start off playing on the same account, but wind up wanting to be able to split off multiple characters later onto different accounts.

Typically, this request gets shot down because of the fear that it will be used to facilitate the selling of characters.

SE cannot transfer characters between accounts (they probably don't have the tools for it technically, and they have no reason to add it as they aren't going to do it anyway)

You can give him your account details, and transfer the payment to him, but that's still $13 a month; and if SE finds out about it they may decide to close both accounts.

It was a long shot in the first place ; ;, but oh well, at least i tried. Maybe i'll contact SE directly, but the way this looks, I highly doubt it.

Don't bother, I've already contacted them before about this issue. They will not split the account. I even moved up the chain of command because I was dumbfouned how they couldn't want to make more money (both characters would have been active), but they absolutely refused to do it.
