Control pad Input Delay

Hey guys!

I'm having a strange issue with FFXI. I use a PS2 pad via USB converter, and when changing between FFXI and another window (using POL window mode) There's about 3 seconds of delay before the game accepts my gamepad input.

I've tried different converters, and even a really horrible USB dual analogue pad (EUGH Saitek P880 FYI)

Is this a known issue, or am I missing a setting?

Personally, I'd try using the unofficial windower to see if the problem exists with that too, or if it's simply another downfall of the official SE windower. A little bit of troubleshooting to nail the issue.

Plus, Windower is much more win than SE's pos.

This is a known issue with SE's implementation of Windowed mode, changing controllers won't help. The third party solution is the only known way around it. (this was the kind of thing I was talking about in my 'they should outsource the UI' comment in another thread, since I'm informed that people I have on ignore tried to construe it as a demand for plugins...)
