Re: What would you do if you knew something that didn't appear to be widely known?

I, being true to my spirit of non-conformity and willingness to go against the masses, will ask.

    What is it?

Send me a PM. Not even bullshitting you. I want to know. Not to screw you out of any gil making ability (not that I can. Last I checked, you're not on Kujata), but to see if it's something that's being utilized on my server and not something I'm not already using myself. Besides, I'm still riding the cash form the Mog Bonanza I won; I have hardly any expenses to begin with, and trying to get these stupid Gothic pieces is netting me a decent chunk of change in and of itself (killing Demons at 100-120 gil a pop, and I've made a good 150k in gil just from that.)

(Yes, I said one hundred to one hundred twenty gil a Demon. One hundred fifty thousand gil+ made. Shit does not fucking want to drop.)

And who exactly do you expect me to tell? All of Kujata is asleep when I play. Hell, even Murphy and Mhurron can't find me, and they're the experts of not being found, and knowing where all the good hiding spots are.

On the internet, everyone is a balding forty year old man who doesn't care for personal hygiene and works at a fast food restaurant. His one aim is to get close enough to you to drug you, rape you, and steal your wallet.

          No exceptions.

I started fishing again for my income so I used to get several accusations of fishbotting a day if I ferry fished during the evenings. So I started fishing in the morning when the rest of the world is sleeping and I found that I can fish/farm in most places without trouble. My Nebs and Noble Ladies tend to sell really quickly to the JP Chefs, Woodworkers and Alchemists.

The awesome thing about ferry fishing in the morning is that I can meet other EU/AU/JP WHMs who want thier Sea Wolf and Sea Robber Clubs so I can also camp Silverhook and Blackbeard at the same time knowing that chances are I'm going to meet someone in my timezone or someone who is awake who can help me camp them

I haven't played since the new update so this applies to before that. I found a way to make some nice money doing a repeatable quest, hunting and nm and killing mobs that had some items that npc'd nicely. I did this right in front of a bunch of people camping the nm and they never caught on. I actually told another drg since he usually camped it when I wasn't on. If for some reason I log back on and I find that the npc material is still a good price, I will let everyone know.

Re: What would you do if you knew something that didn't appear to be widely known?

I tend to assume that by the time I've found a way to make money, it's already popular. I don't go talking about them until I've actually seen other people doing so, though. This usually works out because I don't really look for new ways to make money, and most of the ones I use, I found on some forum somewhere anyway.

I'm curious as hell now, so it'd be neat if I could convincingly say "PM me!" But I'm no better at keeping secrets than anyone else. I would probably tell someone in my LS just to get the idea out of my head, since I can't realistically do any gardening myself (note: any implication that gardening doesn't take as much commitment as I think is just cruel, so please keep those to yourself).

                    I wasn't asleep, I was drunk.

And you were in Xarcabard the first Saturday you were back iirc.

Wait 'till you try and get the boots. There's all of 5 mobs in BD and NON of them drop gil. The best you can get is selling bone chips and NPCing Batwings to that elf in sandy who gives you 200 per 2 wings.

The drop rate on that crap is ridiculous.

I also don't tell about my "secrets" to anyone.

It's no sin to keep a secret, Vyuru.

As a former gardener I think I can sympathize. I actually made sure my notebook computer was spec'd to run FFXI just so I could log in to check/feed my plants during lunch breaks, and of late I just can't manage the logistics of farming seeds and selling products and getting on for half a minute at all hours of the day...

If it's a new idea that you don't see anyone using.. why should you have to tell anyone?
