Nashira gear worth a ish?

So we are doing Ultima tomorrow, and i normally save my points for Omega drops and af+1 mats, but was wondering, is any of the Nashira stuff worth it besides the legs? If it's a piece i might eventually use, maybe i'll bid on one. Legs look good with the +enfeebling magic, hands look so so with the -1 avantar cost but... Any other pieces good for any other jobs?

Depends on the job. Hat and Body are great for RDM and BLM to use with Drain/Aspir, easily the best Dark magic pieces available. Hands are pretty much a SMN piece, feet are ok for Elemental build and ghetto haste option, but they aren't really neccesary for any of the jobs that can use them.

Saving points for +1 AF? o_O I would just save your points and leech from whatever group goes in. My friend and I just end up tossing mats whenever we do NW.

As far as Nashira goes, it really depends on the job. Hands are great for summoner, feet great for black mage, legs great for red mage. Turban is meh, there are better alternatives.

Body is good for drain and aspir. I use it a lot and really notice a difference with the body + relic gloves.

Yup, gotta save points for mats. When you have peeps that dont want any ultima or omega drops, but are needing mats for sam, nin, and blm points get bid up... We have 8 peeps that are currently in this position. Nin mats go for more than most ultima pieces (save the legs) and some homom pieces.

Yeah I guess I should add that Hat/Body are valuable to WHM/SCH for Drain/Aspir as well, and hat for Repose on WHM.

How is magic accuracy different from magic skill? Is it just a blanketed + accuracy for all magic? Whats better when casting an enfeebling magic spell? +5 enfeebling magic skill or + 5 magic accuracy? What would be better when nuking, +5 elemental magic skill or +5 magic accuracy?

The Magic Skill => Magic Accuracy function is not something that the playerbase has been able to accurately figure out yet, there's a few differing opinions on it. It's much harder to test than physical accuracy since spells have varying levels of resists, while melee is pretty much either you hit it or you don't.

I personally believe it functions like physical accuracy, where every magic skill point over 200 adds .9 Magic Accuracy, but that's just an opinion and I can't prove it. But yes, it works on all types of magic, while magic skills only work on that specific type, i.e. I always recommend Wise Cap/Nashira Turban over Elite Beret +1 to newer RDMs, as they likely have similar accuracy, but Wise/Nashira work for Drain/Aspir as well as enfeebles.

I can see the magic accuracy would help, but for Drain and Aspir? I would just use the regular turban for the extra haste.

2% additional haste is going to shave 1 second tops off of the recast, while 5 Macc can make the difference between a resist and a full Aspir/Drain return. For BLM maybe not as much of a big deal, but for a RDM with 200 base skill it matters.

Ah, well that's understandable. Guess with less skill it helps a lot more. For me, I'm at 304-319 dark skill on black mage. x.x So magic accuracy wouldn't help as much.

I'm hoping to finish SCH sub soon to toy with that, I have a very strong Dark Magic set for a RDM but even so I'm only sitting on 234 skill + 20 MAcc(22 if it's not an Anrin Obi situation). I have seen an absurdly noticeable difference in my ability to keep myself with a good amount of MP in Dynamis since I improved my set, though Limbus mobs are still pretty stingy.

I have 1 Dark Magic merit as well...only real improvement would be Blood Gauntlets, but I have a lot of priorities before those and my friends need the NQs for their own RDMs in the near future. I technically could get a bit more accuracy by subbing in Dark Earring for Loq and Balrahn's Ring for Tamas, but this set already kills a large amount of my max MP by switching to it, so I don't really want to give up another 60.
