That's one thing our group never had, stun. But I can count on one hand the number of times we really needed it. GA3? Ohi Curaga 3. lol.

Funnily enough this was the source of our most recent wipes. Fucking Soulflayer NMs.

Yeah, Ridill WARs are great except on CC. CC with TP = BAD BAD BAD. Of course our WAR knew that but everyone is entitled to a brain fart now and then.

We wiped to a Poroggo boss once but we had both no stuns and a no Ninjutsu pathos. And someone aggroed a Draugar.

We haven't had to fight CC but we've had to fight Roc, Simurgh. They usually cause us to time out =/

We also wiped once to a Chariot boss during the last 20% because it killed someone with AoE and then charmed me.

Actually I had meant to make this point before, but /DNC is awesome for melees if for no other reason that Spectral Jig, it saves tons of time even if they do bring their own sneak/invis items, just by being an instant cast that they can use on the move.

oooooooooh shit and on that note of advice, a little Nyzul tip: Activating time/order lamps will drop all aggro you have. If you can time it between a mob's swings you can deaggro it and move out of aggro range, letting you get your sneak/invis back up, or you can Sleep it then hit the lamp and when it wakes up it will leave you alone.

oooooooooh shit and on that note of advice, a little Nyzul tip: Activating time/order lamps will drop all aggro you have. If you can time it between a mob's swings you can deaggro it and move out of aggro range, letting you get your sneak/invis back up, or you can Sleep it then hit the lamp and when it wakes up it will leave you alone.

Oh shit. Why didn't you say this a month or two ago? We really could've used it >_> Stupid lamps guarded by flans.

Yeah, typically if there's some sort of true aggro like a Wamoura or gear near a lamp I'll have a melee take that lamp, then train the mob to my lamp, sleep them there, then just keep using Sleep > deaggro to hold them.

Getting used to the timing while they're swinging at you takes a bit, you'll get that 'event skipped' message a few times, but if you click on it right as they're swinging you can usually select 'Yes' before they get their next round off. You also need to remember to gtfo after before they reaggro, lol.

What if it's a caster and you deaggro mid-cast? Will it stop casting or nuke you and then leave you alone?

Don't know for sure, but maybe. Puddings deaggro my BLM all the damn time (frustrating as fuck btw) in the middle of casting AM, sometimes I can stun them to reclaim in time, sometimes I can't. ><

So might be the same, that it stops casting and forgets you existed.

I'm not 100% sure about inside Nyzul, but I know for sure from Steam Cleaner experiences, when he deaggros mid-cast the spell doesn't fire. I've been saved from point-blank Thundaga III's by random deaggro before. Different mob/zone I know, but that's the closest I've had.

LOL Ya that was fun. You don't often get the really nasty pathos but when you do, its always on a floor thats gonna kick your ass it seems.

Maybe Nyzul is better without a tank. I wouldn't know, since PLD is my only 75 job lol. I could certainly see how it could work, though.

@Lmnop: 96. Had some awful floors last couple of runs, and now we're low on tokens.

98, actually; that one attempt Monday where we actually managed to get out with tokens got us that.

Actually, I seem to recall we got a white magic pathos on a single floor where the target was a mousse in the next room. Might be misremembering, I also recall us getting through a no-ninjutsu floor, I think it was lamps...
