  • Relic Weapon Buff?

    Okay so I'm starting to really hate myself for deciding not to go to Fan Fest since I didn't feel like going alone (my two friends couldn't make it) since apparently, at least at VanaFest there's an event where you get to play around with a Mythic of your choice based on what job you play....


    Mythic weapons (New info page 5+)(Pointless bickering page 7+)(Proc Discussion 18+)(new info p23+) - Page 23 - Order of the Blue Gartr

    A guy at the Japan Fanfest tested the WAR's Mythic G.axe.

    He reported:

    -Aftermath gave +50 attack
    -Aftermath lasts 30-60 sec depending on TP
    -Normal crits do ~200 but crits during Aftermath do 900-1000
    -Triple Attack that seemed to proc the same amount as sea weapons (he isn't sure if the Triple Attack was from Aftermath or from Berserk)

    Now since the weapon says it "Augments" Berserk, I'm guessing that's where the triple attacks where coming from, however there is speculation that it's like the jailer weapons in which case the OAT was proc on top of Double Attack!

    the comments on why the pup weapon , alot of poeple just dont understand pup and understand that pup would see a dramatic increase in dmg.

    first stringing pummel is pretty amazing, and +50 acc and attack on rng puppet with full merits probably = 2k average armor piercers, 3k with three fire manuevers, with no worry of overloading.

    then there is the blm puppet, with 3 ice manuvers, my blizzard 4 was averaging 200 more dmg then blms burst 2 at the pudding camp, problem is you cant do that all the time because of overloading, now you can jsut keep 3 ice manuever up all the time which gives almost +100 mab. for 1700+ blizzard 4s.

    another DD with its mythic, sure may do more dmg like a drg with those crit jumps, but to a pup, this woudl be night and day, and completely changes the way he plays the job.

    Also, good thing about playing pup, it will only get better, look at most jobs, war, monk, drg were all considering crappy, now look at them, rngs were gods, now look where they are, things change, you never know one day, pups could get huge boosts, and if they do, that weapon will cause a pup to become overpowered.

    Seems the Kenkonken pretty much eliminates Overload. That alone makes it worth getting, holy shit.



    I'm still reading the rest of the thread but WOW SE had better do something about the zilart weapons. IIRC they said they would adjust them since they didn't intend to make the Mythics more powerful but it seems they've done just that (hell over and beyond >_>)



    EDIT: Christ on a cracker 1k Jumps with Ryunohige...


    EDIT 2: Seems the triple attack was misread and corrected; The Aftermath (or perhaps the berserk augment?) causes critical hits to triple in damage. It was noted that he only got this after using King's Justice so it may be a hidden effect of the Aftermath. At any rate this is some crazy shit, no wonder they made these so much harder to complete.

    I really would have loved to go, but unfortunately I don't have the resources.

    These weapons seem ridiculously powerful. Not that I would mind if I got my hands on one. I'm rarely against carving massing swathes of death.
