I doubt it's legitimate. The page is an eyesore. Not that MySpace pages often look that good to begin with, but it doesn't look at all official to me, and as a general rule corporate MySpace pages tend to be a lot better organized and laid out than this one.

Why is it that everyone's MySpace page has to look like a webpage from 1994? Repeating image backgrounds and obnoxious music starting up automatically and impossible to read fonts and text colours.

there actually was an official FFXI myspace page awhile back. I went looking for it months ago and couldn't find it, so I imagine SE realized that advertising on myspace was only bringing in a ton of dumbasses.


Ok, so they probably just decided to close it because nobody cared. But I'd like to think it was the dumbassery.
