  • Should I bother going to quifim?

So uh, I'm still not totally hip to this level sync thing, but like, I'm level 19, and I see level 20s partying alongside me. Is quifim island outdated now, or are they just there out of lazyness or something?

Qufim isn't outdated at all. I've spent a good deal of time there from 20-37 on three jobs in and out of level sync parties.

It's still a valid spot for PT's at that level - there are usually three or four PT's out there on my server at any given time in the evenings.

Qufim's a good place to party for level 20-25. Once you hit 25, xp drops and it's better to goto Yuh. Jungle. Some peesp go there fromt he dunes at level 19, but I prefered waiting until level 20.

I don't think you'd say you should skip any exp spot because of level sync. Just go party where you get invited to.

If anything, I'd say Qufim is overcamped now. I dinged 30 RNG about 10 days ago and the highest level area I've partied in since then is a lv 24 sync @ yhoator- people are super lazy now because of level sync... Garlaige is largely desserted when I check it, as is Altepa, Buburimu... I'd say that your best bet would be to get comfy in Qufim/jungles until you're high enough for Crawler's Nest- that seems to be the norm on my server at any rate

Re: Should I bother going to quifim?

Personally, I find level sync to create more problems than it solves now-a-days. I don't particularly enjoy having all my invites be for level sync because then I'm stuck with the task of skilling up my job's weapon/magic skills.

I've been playing BLU, and if it weren't for blue magic skill, I'd level sync forever because all my other skills are capped. However, I don't like having to solo 10-20 skill levels of blu magic after gaining 2 levels in level sync.

I personally never found raising Blue Magic skill much of a problem, since soloing spells got me a buttload of skillups. And I spent prolly 40-54 almost completely in East Ronfaure S.

I don't think so, but i beleave alot of the old areas are "considered" outdated now-a-days. I've been helping a few LS mates with their BLMS, forming an MANA party and I swear, we've ran into more "Weapon Skill UP" party/people in Kuftal Tunnel and Cape Turrigen than i've ever seen before.

I used to go there for skills ups too, but i've never hogged an xp party's mobs or skilled up in a party camp locaiton. Just the other day the Party leader had to call the GM on two 75 sams who showed up in Cape Terrigan, and started to kill everything in sight. We asked them to leave us a few crabs but they just "meh" us. The GM made them move.

So i dunno, areas i thought were still viable areas for xp are turning into skill up areas.

Re: Should I bother going to quifim?

Why do a lot of people insist to have all their level sync parties in Qufim? It is just the worst place. It's over-crowded, undead really suck, and EXP really slows down after a few levels.

It boggles the mind. Is it because newbies don't know where to go after that? Can't be bothered getting their Kazham keys? Yhutunga and Yhoatar jungle's are just so much better than Qufim!

Because worms are super easy? The gobs/gigas in the tower also make for really good exp once you out level the worms.

You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be misqouted and then used against you.

More like because it's literally connected to jeuno, and there's little reason to go there except EXPing (as in, no questing/farming players using mobs)

Re: Should I bother going to quifim?

You know, I've avoided PTing a lot these last few months and now I realize why.

Its because no matter how revolutionary the feature, NA/EU players will find some way to screw it up and make it feel backward as hell. Thankfully, for most of the jobs I care to level, my skills are capped, but I'd just rather solo on my BST than take a level sync PT. From where my BST is standing, a Level Sync PT is nothing short of a sympathy invite. I'll just keep soloing, thanks, I like getting all these Beastmen and Kindred Seals anyway. If I PTed, I'd have to share.

All my good solo spots are usually eaten up by Japanese level sync PTs, so soloing within them on the odd hours is no longer an option for me.

But from the sounds of it, they're safe on the NA hours, well except for the places where jackasses are skilling up. You know, there are crabs other places aside from the Boyhada Tree and Kuftal Tunnel. There's a whole line of them in Pashhow Marshlands (S) to skill/weaponbreak on. Right next to the outpost no less, Vunkerl Inlet, too. They're literally spread all around the outpost.

But nah, those are just places to idle between Bastok campaign battles
