Ok, so I've been told zerging is the way to go with this NM. But what should I Zerg with? Manaburn? Melee? Combination of both? And is a full alliance really necessary? How should this be setup? If you have beaten it, please post what setups you used

Rdm/drk two hour chainspell. Bard swapping for haste, attack, etc..

Basically, have a ton of melee 2 hour zerg the fuck out of it while chainspell is on him. It's a quick fight either way.

Zerg is practically a must on this mob cuz it has very high regen. Somewhere in the area of 1% per tic. Both melee zerg and magic zerg work pretty well on him. Yes, a full allience is generally required unless your members are very well geared or you are using multi-hit DRK's.

regular zerg stuff really
rdm/drks to lock it with stuns
thf to feint it
boost people with brds
everyone 2hs/icarus wing/etc
really the only shitty thing about him is his spawn time

While zerg is the most efficient way to take this guy down, I have heard of kite + DOT methods that have worked. It's time consuming though.

Kite King Vinegaroon? Are you speaking from personal experience or just regurgitating hearsay?

As I recall, he has a quite potent Draw In ability that pulls EVERYONE on his hatelist next to him, so I highly doubt any form of kiting will work (leaving aside the issue of the insane regeneration, but that's really not what will kill you).

That plus his area attack damage + absurd poison damage means the only effective way to take him down is to chainspell/stun and hope you can kill him before he breaks out and kills your entire alliance.

(and yes, it pretty much takes an entire alliance unless you've got a bunch of Kraken DRKs just lying around)

As Icemage said, this will probably not work. Draw in is nasty and his AoE abilities are also nasty.
